I'm really excited about Cardozo! There is a certain energy about the school that is missing from Brooklyn.
Beware that the "admissions packet" consists of a wrapper that is like the stuff a hard drive comes in and a thin "viewbook-style" packet with 3 folds and an acceptance letter and scholarship information (if applicable). It's quite possibly the most chintzy, depressing acceptance packet I've gotten. McGeorge's was 500x better. You'd think from a school that costs as much as Cardozo does, their admissions packet would be a lot nicer, you know? =[

I was SO excited when I opened the mail, and about 30 seconds after looking at it, I'm like... wow. :( Not to soil your accomplishment but don't get your hopes up too high for a cool admissions packet. I wish someone had told me that what I was waiting for was barely bigger than a friggin' mailing advertisement.

i can't figure out why i haven't heard from cardozo yet. i submitted all my apps in the middle of october and was already accepted to fordham, so i was expecting to hear from cardozo within the first week of decisions. i called the admissions office and they just said the status checkers are current, which i know isn't always true because of the people's posts on this thread.

My status checker changed about 3 days after they called, from 11/16 to 1/7 for what it's worth. I'm sure they haven't made it through everyone yet, it's only been a week since they called.

I got a call from Cardozo saying they want me to do an interview either in person or on the phone. Has anyone else been asked to do an interview, and if so what type of questions do they ask?

I'm below the median for the lsat and right at it for gpa. I have decent softs so I dunno if they just wanna get to know me a little bit or what.

I actually thought their acceptance packet was very nice. Brief, sure, but it had all the necessary information and is presented in a very classy style. I was impressed.

Just a call!! Missed it because I was in class, but got the voice mail. It didn't mention anything about scholarships, did anyone else get info about a scholly via the phone call or does that mean I didn't receive one?

Maybe I'll call back after class and thank them for the call and ask whether I was granted one... do you think they'd slap me through the phone if I did?

They already admitted you, so the worst thing that can happen is that they will say no, no scholarship... my packet came really fast though, if you can handle the wait!

So, I searched the "Discuss Your Law School" forum and there aren't really any current Cardozo topics...disappointing.

Got the letter yesterday- I actually got the "Paulson Scholarship". Pretty nice, in a silver/clear ziplock envelope with a seal over the zipper.

Has anyone heard anything but positive news yet?

Any WL or denials?

Just curious, those who received their packets already where are you geographically? Wondering how long it will take for it to arrive!

I dont know what the difference is, but I was offered full scholarship as a Cardozo Scholar. The way it was explained in the acceptance package was that its full scholarship for all three years so long as you keep your GPA above 2.9 (top 80% of the class), which essentially means that its no strings attached.
Difference is it's 100% guranteed. I was also guranteed a spot in the Alabama, but dunno if that's special or not. Otherwise it didn't list any special perks. I am located outside of Chicago for location.

And it's funny looking back at Aggie's response ot the packet- I actually rather liked it- not as nice as, say GW's, but not as cheap as BU's (great BU, thanks for the post it notes...).

I took the tour yesterday and am really excited. For May applicants like myself, I was told they would start getting to those in February.

So, I take it Cardozo > OSU in the New York market? I was accepted into OSU and I would be paying a whole lot less.
