Yeah I had the same LSAT and a way lower gpa and just got in OOS. I think you're good.Pricer wrote:I applied 1/7 and went complete 1/21, but I'm still not under review. I'm 3.69/169 in state and went for undergrad.tropicalpeach wrote:IN AT UGA.
I went here for undergrad so I know what an awesome school it is. I'm really excited. Had to wait for dec lsat (had a 160 from oct), got a 167 and applied asap after scores were released.
Applied 1/7/11, UR 1/21/11, Accepted 1/24/11
2.90,167 Really unique work experience, strong P.S.

Absolutely not. It's only January, man. Who knows how things really happen in adcomms. Just look to your avatar for inspiration. Who would've thought USA gets a score in extra time v Algeria to advance!!?Sandro777 wrote:ahhh.. this makes the third or so school where people with same/lesser numbers have gotten in who applied same/later than me and all while my file sits in review.... is it time to panic ?

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
I almost went to the bathroom when ET rolled around because I didn't want to witness the agony of Algeria wasting the last 3 minutes diving and USA blowing out in the group stage AGAIN on the last game. Glad I didn't.francisConn wrote:Absolutely not. It's only January, man. Who knows how things really happen in adcomms. Just look to your avatar for inspiration. I know its early, but this feeling isnt good. It would be different if it was just one school but this makes 3 or 4 schools now

sandro, You and I are going to sit in review at UGA forever. It does give me hope though that they have started taking the sub 3.0 kids. I'm a numbers twin of that kid who just got in maybe i'm gonna get the call soon.
2.9 kid, did you get in by status checker or phone call?

Shhhh, positive thoughts. FWIW - I would venture to say those getting in before me at schools have better "softs" - softs that the conventional wisdom on TLS says don't matter. I don't have special snowflake softs.bergg007 wrote:sandro, You and I are going to sit in review at UGA forever. It does give me hope though that they have started taking the sub 3.0 kids. Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
Hopefully, and I say hopefully, UGA doesnt want to end up in a situation where they over admit. According to last years LSAC #s we stand in a good range (15/17 admits) to get in but it could be risky to admit so many splitters now. Probably wait til some more room clears under the 25% gpa to squeeze us in....ccoons24 wrote:Getting pretty nervous myself...applied in late October, been under review since early December....nothin' yet. 2.8/169

For those who have been accepted, have you gotten any scholarship info yet?

@PDL, how were you notified of scholarship? If it was in the acceptance packet, how long did it take to arrive once you were admitted via status checker?

I was held for further reveiw back in December. My numbers are similar or better than some of the people who have been getting in today.
Should I send a LOCI?

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
I posted this link in another UGA thread earlier, but this one seems more active. I'm not applying to UGA but just received a fb post about an interview with UGA Law's dean of admission and I thought I'd share it. It seems pretty long and I admit that I've only scanned it. hth. Good luck!
