I requested permission to join el group. I just got a hilarious mistake email from GW. they sent me an email from July 2010. and then a subsequent apology email. I forgot I was even on their waitlist.

Oh romo, of course you are welcome. I've been hunting for apts today. Expect a PM from me soon about specific buildings (inquiring if you so happen to have info about them).

Being that I am from LA, I support this. Had BU/BC liked me a bit more, this would have been a very sore spot for me for a few years, as it always is when I frequently visit Boston.

What are your plans as far as living alone/with roommates/etc. I have always lived alone, but am curious as to what others are doing, perhaps it wouldn't be that awful living with others...

I'm planning on living with someone. I lived alone for a year, and didn't like it as much as living with someone else. Also it'll probably save me money, and it'll be easier to take care of the place if one or both of us leave for a summer.

I am somewhat undecided at this point, but we should definitely keep in touch about living situations, in case we end up liking the same area! the saving money with a roommate aspect is particularly appealing to me.

I'm basing my housing decisions on the ease of getting to and from bars, so the chance of us liking the same area is pretty high.

This is entirely true. I sense a potential good roommate opportunity here, as long as you are willing to live with a female, which I am 100% unwilling to do, since bitches are crazy.

if you guys want a roommate, don't even bother looking at metro lofts. I also thought parc frontenac was pretty shitty. can't remember any other places.

I hadn't heard of metrolofts, but thanks to you I looked it up and really like the look of it

What makes it shitty?

ETA: Same goes for parc frontenac

I can give lots of apartment advice, as I am currently looking for a new apartment. I'm very familiar with areas and with specific buildings. If I can't answer your question, I can find the answer.

On a related note: I might be interested in a roommate for 2L year. I have one now and he's been a great roommate, but he's moving in with his girlfriend in August and we are getting out of our apartment this summer because things in the neighborhood have been a bit unsavory lately. It seems like most of my law school friends are either 1) not roommate material, 2) have a roommate already, or 3) are not really interested in the roommate thing, so none of them jump out as me as potential replacement candidates.

So I would maybe be interested in rooming with a laid-back incoming 1L. And I'm emphasizing the "maybe" and the "laid back" here. My current roommate and I have had zero issues, and I really don't want any roommate headaches. It would have to be someone responsible and moderately clean, yet laid back and fun. In other words, it would have to be a down to earth bro who has his shit together (or an attractive girl, that would be fine as well  ).

Anyways, I'm still like 50/50 on doing a roommate. It is a lot cheaper having one and I could get a lot nicer place with a roommate, but I'm sorta just ready to be on my own. But I'd consider it, so anyone who is thinking about a roommate, you can PM me and we can discuss. No promises or anything, so don't take it personally if I say no.

Back off my potentials bro

Punisha, I'll either be going to the June housing day or going a little earlier to meet kch, I'm not sure.
