I have to think that if I was going to be accepted, I would have been accepted already, and they are just waiting to ding me (I don't think they've dinged anyone yet, right?)

I really like Wash U so this wait is just killing me. Obviously I would like the decision soon, but I wasn't stressing until earlier today because if I'm admitted, I'm not going to have a lot of time to decide between Wash U and UMN.

I was a sub- 2.5 GPA. I'd been in review for a couple of months, and it was killing me, too. I happened to have a chance to visit the Law School and meet with the admissions office about my file (after taking a tour, etc) and I was accepted the next day, scholarship a few days after. If you live at all close, I'd suggest this.

Don't give up hope.

I'm thinking of starting a drinking game. Every time I get a random email from a department/person at WASH U, I take several shots.

So I'm still application complete 11/30. Schools are requesting seat deposits April 1. At what time does it not become obnoxious to call and ask what's going on?

Except the application isn't available yet.... If accepted into this program I'd definitely want to go to WUSTL, but otherwise I just want to wait out my Hastings and Vandy wait lists and reapply. Considering the application deadline is May 1, it looks like I'd have to put down at least one deposit without knowing if I'm in...

you're really going to wait a year instead of taking a T20 w/ scholly? I'm on the Hastings and UT WLs as well and want nothing more than to get off, but I don't know if it's worth reapplying. You're in a similar situation in that I doubt your LSAT is what's keeping you out of these schools...

Just curious b/c I'm facing a similar dilemma but can't really imagine waiting a year for the chanceof acceptance from one of these other schools...

Wow, finally in review as of 3/4. How long does it usually take for a decision once you're in review?

I really want to work in the Bay Area, and I've been looking at the top 250 firms' SF/Sillicon Valley offices and finding almost no graduates of WUSTL or Emory, and only a few from GW (which is so expensive I can't even really consider it.) I've started teaching lsat classes since I took the test the last time and I feel more prepared to take the LSAT than ever. It looks to me that if I can get my lsat up to a 173 or so, I'd have a chance at Georgetown and distance myself from my gpa by having more time pass since undergrad. I also didn't apply to Davis, which seems to have good bay area placement. I feel like I might even be better off with a degree from Santa Clara because it seems to be dominating the Palo Alto offices.

Taking another year off for me wouldn't be a disaster. I love SF, where I'm living, have great friends and a good job I really like. I'm young enough (I graduated early,) that I'd still be on the younger side of my class even if I enrolled in 2012. It's not a decision I'm sure about, and I might be depositing at one of these schools anyway, but with law school being such an expensive investment, I want to make sure that the money I'm spending will put me where I want to be.

Thanks, I would love to, but I'm no where near the school (I'd have to fly in). Do you think sending a LOCI is a bad idea?

I really don't see how it could be. The admissions staff are incredibly understanding and professional (setting aside their painful method of review).
