Honestly, probably not. It's a great city if you have a reason to be here (i.e. school, work, family, etc), but I don't think it merits a trip in itself. Also, winter is probably not the best time to see it (I almost fell on my ass multiple times last night... stupid frozen sidewalks...)

Well, it's not exactly NY, LA, Miami, SF or Chi-town. It depends on what you consider "exciting." On the other hand, it's not very expensive at all. Everything's cheap here, including the drinks. I used to live in Chicago and also somewhat near Miami, and St. Louis is passable. If you're looking for huge cosmopolitan nightclubs or beaches, there's none here. But there's pretty much everything else.

I was also just accepted by email! 174 / 3.5x. I'm also being considered for a Scholars in Law award. Yay! No stipend info, though... does that come in a separate email?

Edit: went complete on 12/2 for those who are curious.

If I recall correctly, the CSO will talk to you about jorbs over lunch, you do a campus tour, you sit in on like a mock class sometimes (depending on the school), you hear about housing, there will be prof/student panels, and you have like a happy hour in the afternoon. Then you go and kick it with a bunch of other ASW students all night and check out the surrounding around the next day. Its a lot of fun.

Honestly though, the best part of an ASW is just going around town, meeting other prospectives, and hanging out all day on campus. ASWs give you a really good idea of what a school is like and whether you think you can spend three years there.

Same complete date here. Submission/complete dates seem meaningless since there are people with later dates already under review and accepted. It seems like the timeline is more numbers driven.

So even though I'm sitting at Complete 11/11, I just got an e-mail from WashU admissions and almost had a heart attack since everyone is getting in right now. (P.S. Congrats!)

Because I applied last year, it was an e-mail about transferring. Major let down.

WUSTL is semi-hilarious. I never got an acceptance email but I got the email about the Admitted Students Website and then got the idea I was admitted because it said, "Congratulations once again on your admittance".. They never congratulated me in the first place. LOL.

Woohoo, first acceptance! 3.2/172 so WUSTL seemed like a sure thing, but it felt like they took their time. Submitted 11/14, complete 11/23, UR 12/02, admitted today. Also being considered for Scholars in Law Program.
