I disagree
I was outright dinged with a 3.34 166 + 2 years of legitimate work experience post undergrad with a Fortune 20, good LOR's and I wrote the optional ethical dilemma essay.
Pretty surprised I wasn't even able to muster a WL.

That surprises me a lot. I'm expecting the same result, but with a 166 I wouldn't have. I wonder if something went wrong with your application-- a bad LOR or something? Seems bizarre to me.
