You won't wait for ASW?
There's an ASW in Feb
Gotcha... I think I got it mixed up with my W&M dates...whoops!

Haha no worries. I also applied to both W&M and W&L.

bucky0486 wrote:In! I application was complete late December. 160/3.67 I also have, what I consider, strong softs, for whatever that's worth
This is one of two schools that I want to attend. If I get into the other, I've got a tough decision; if not, it'll be pretty easy deciding.
Certainly aid would help in my decision, but it's still in my top 2 if I don't get much/any aid.

Under review (again). Probably shouldn't have waited for my Dec. LSAT score, but oh well. Guess I could always apply next year again...

I think I will be going in March. I still have to sign up though. I need to book a flight. Going to be making a couple of trips back east. At least W&L has a travel stipend & I can stay with my coach in DC or I would be screwed.
March - ASW W&L
April - DC 10 Mile Race & visit to George Mason and American (if I can squeeze both of those in) and then the following week the Boston Marathon.

I'm planning to come to the one in February as well. (But haven't registered yet... something for my to-do list tomorrow.)

I want to attend the Feb. ASW as well. A friend in Virginia advised against this given the weather (I'm from Houston, Austin, New Orleans) but I think that I may want to go in the winter in order to see if I can really take that kind of cold

Virginia winters really aren't that bad, but then I was born and raised in the DC area. Generally, we don't get TOO much snow around here but it will be in the 30s and 40s from December to March or so. Sometimes it will get colder and it will snow, but the "snowpocalypse" from last year was more an anomaly than anything.

I'm from Houston and go to a Virginia undergrad. Let me just say that it's cold as shit for folks from the places you mentioned. I'm still not really accustomed to it...just bring real winter clothes and you should be fine. Now I will say that the snow will mean you should probably if not now, at some point, invest in some "snow boots"...

Are most people flying into Roanoke? If not, are you just renting a car to get to the ASW? Still trying to figure that out before booking my ticket!

Renting a car, and since they reimburse up to $300 the car fits into that as long as I fly to Richmond and not Roanoke.

Yea, I think I may fly into DC and then drive out from there. It's cheaper than flying directly into Roanoke for suure.

I'll be attending the February ASW. Lexington is a 4.5 hour drive through the WV mountains from my undergrad, so hopefully we don't get a repeat of last year.

So apparently first round of scholly letters are going out this Friday... that is going to be a hard, hard wait
I'm as nervous about this as I was about the results! Really hoping I get a scholarship that can make W&L a strong financial option
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
