I am extremely nervous as well. See you at the Top of the Hill tomorrow, where they ice us for a day and let us build up those interview nerves.

Having said that, an acceptance email would make a great present before (a) Spring Break starts, (b) we beat Duke next Saturday and (c) my master's thesis is due.

I think they're all done for today and there will be more on Monday. I was really impressed with the school and the opportunities available, and I've been living here for years. I'm not sure why people rag on the facilities of the law school itself - sure, it's not hyper stately, but I could definitely envision myself happily spending 40+ hours a week there. Lots of comfy places to study, showers for people going to the gym, the classrooms weren't ancient seeming at all, nice views of the outside. Really that's all that matters to me.

The interviews themselves were very personable. Can't emphasize enough how consistently friendly everyone involved with Carolina is. It's like that for undergrad and I can see it carries on throughout. This university is so underrated.

FWIW, a post a few pages back quoted an admissions person as saying that one's status is not necessarily in real-time. Still feel your pain though.

I really had a great group interview me and I felt comfortable and a reassuring sense of community the whole weekend. I really want to be a Chancellor Scholar and also be at UNC in the fall. It was a great weekend.

It was pretty straight forward. They really weren't trying to grill you or anything, they were just trying to go a little deeper and see who you really were.

When are you supposed to hear from them for an offer? I'm sure they will offer you money first, and then move on to the regular applicant pool a little after, which is why I'm asking.

I heard him say Tuesday or Wednesday, because there are still three people left to interview on Monday. I think they're trying to get this done quickly so they can shift their focus back on general scholarships and letting people in.

But did he mean Tuesday/Wednesday this upcoming week?

It's "beat Dook" week on campus right now. T-shirts are being distributed in the Pit. Tomorrow, there's free Ben and Jerry's. And somehow I'm stuck in a stats lab working on my master's thesis.
