+1 After useless news from GT it would be great to get a worthwhile e-mail from GW.krad wrote:I neeeeed to know if I can possibly hope for something today...Gotti wrote:Congrats! Did you get the email yesterday?JTMan wrote:Accepted! Median LSAT above 75%tile GPA. Go Colonials.

Re: GW 2011 Applicants
I was hoping to hear before Christmas, but it looks as though I'm going to have to wait until January. Of course, I have a feeling I'm going to be instantly placed in the waitlist or rejection pile, so perhaps it is good that they won't ruin my Christmas.

Should I expect any money with a 3.6/167? I'm guessing no, but I have no idea and anything would help.

Accepted yesterday via email as well. Sent my app late october... 167/3.7. not that this really adds anything of value to the discussion at all
Anyone have thoughts on GW's placement in Philly? I know philly is a smaller market- but I'm just wondering since the only game in town there seems to be Penn.

You might get a little bit but GW tends to only give a ton of money to people who they really want.Autoaccept wrote:Should I expect any money with a 3.6/167? I'm guessing no, but I have no idea and anything would help.

Re: GW 2011 Applicants
I would disagree with that, Temple's pretty prominent here (I live in philly now) because of the huge alumni network. Penn kids tend to spread out to DC or NYC it seems. But I suppose it depends on what kind of law you're looking to practice. I'm not sure about GW though.SarPear wrote:Accepted yesterday via email as well. 162 on LSN appeared to be the cutoff to get an acceptance in the first round if you had a high enough GPA.
Dang...if only I had gotten one more lousy point on the LSAT...

Dang...if only I hadn't slacked off my first 2 years of college. A few more points on my GPA would helped.
Still havent heard anything though. So, you never know.

Yeah, this is still the first round of acceptances. Only one batch has gone out. People with my #'s got in last year so you never know.gdane5 wrote:I have the LSAT.queenlizzie13 wrote:162 on LSN appeared to be the cutoff to get an acceptance in the first round if you had a high enough GPA.

But according to LSN, they got in January, so if I do get in, I am guessing that I will likely hear then.
Gdane5, if you don't get into GW, then you will be going to American? I have acceptances from W&L, American, and GMU. Right now, I'm leaning toward W&L but not entirely sure given that it is in a small town.
My running coach is really near GMU so that helps it some. It would also help if I got $$ though.

Re: GW 2011 Applicants
So far I'm in at AU and GMU. I've also been WL'ed at Fordham. However, I can't really count on that since getting off the WL is out of my control.
Im out of state so there really isnt a huge difference in cost for me between AU and GMU. So, if I dont get into GW I'll be going to AU. I feel better about it. I'm more impressed with AU than I am with GMU.
BUT!!! This is all a moot point if i get into GW!
Good luck to both of us!

Re: GW 2011 Applicants
when I was on the east coast I visited GMU and AU, have to say loved the professors at AU much more....and AU does not make you take a small sections (5-6 people) legal writing course that is graded on a curve...GMU does....so kinda sucks...gdane5 wrote:So far I'm in at AU and GMU.
