Just applied to Richmond.

11/4/10. I had a fee waiver too :)
Yay for fee waivers or I wouldn't be able to apply to 1/2 the places I want to apply.

I got a call from Dean Rahman too. Very nice.

Can you guys let me know when you went complete? I thought I was a pretty strong candidate for Richmond, but I am a little nervous/sad that I haven't heard yet

Ditto. I just submitted this week and I think I'm a pretty strong candidate, just wondering when I can expect something at the earliest.

They actually don't have a status checker or let you know when your application is complete. However, if you call the admissions office they are extremely helpful and can let you know if you're complete etc.

They actually emailed me today to let me know I was complete. Just waiting for a phone call/email/letter, trying to figure out how soon it might be if I'm lucky.

Does anyone know what's going on with their Dean search? I met Dean Douglas and am very disappointed that he's no longer at the school. I hope whoever they bring in doesn't change the reduction in class size trend.

I just got an invite to apple for the John Marshall Scholars program. Exciting! Do we thing this means I'm in? My mother agreed that it'd be rather awful (but also sort of hilarious) if I didn't get in after being invited to apply for a scholarship.

Just received a terribly nice call from Dean Rahman and the offer of "significant" scholarship money and a chance at the John Marshall Scholars program.

I had pretty much taken for granted that I could ignore my phone/email on the weekends... now I guess I need to keep that phone volume on high at all times!

The information about the John Marshall Scholars program was emailed over our school's pre-law listserv, you can apply for it before you're actually accepted to the law school.

It's an awesome program though. And if I remember correctly the essay is super short and pretty easy. I'd say go for it. I'll probably apply if I hear back from Richmond before the deadline (Not wasting my time if there's a chance I didn't get in).
