The Email today with the subject "Financial Aid - Scholarship Awards" got me very excited thinking it was reward news... but unfortunately just a notification that awards will be made available "soon"... Come on Richmond, give me some money so I can attend!

I liked that email...it was ok if you know you don't want to come here let us give money to someone who does - makes sense

I liked the thought behind the email... completely agree that it makes sense... just slightly disappointed that I wasn't an awards email as I really want to go to Richmond.

I've been following the WM and the UR threads, so you're not sure what you want to do yet?

Im about 99.9 percent decided. I was jsut saying that The new dean is impressive and only helps the school. I see how it looks though.

My hopes were dashed too. I'm torn. I almost wanted to write an email back saying, "I REALLY WANT TO GO! Pleeeeease, send me money."

I got my admissions packet in the mail today, with details about financial aid, housing, parking, dining options, laptop ownership...but no scholarship info!

Accepted last night via phone call! Dean Rahman said scholarship/financial aid info should be available in the next week or so.

I wouldn't say freaking out but waiting. The earlier I know scholarship, the earlier I can make a decision. Then I can actually start to get my life together for next year.

Are you the one who's reported it on LSN? (177/3.35)

Are you going to accept it?

Yeah, that's me. I don't know. I love the idea of having little or no debt after law school, I'm not at all interested in a big firm job. If UVA gives me no money, I probably won't go there. I have a couple weeks to decide.

Well, Congratulations again. It will be a difficult decision! Did you visit UR? It's absolutely lovely! I personally have never liked UVA for any of it's schools, lol, but I see from LSN it's your fav.

Interesting that calls are already going out for the JM- the deadline on my letter for it wasn't until March 16.... I already submitted the essay, but I just think that's interesting.

Pretty sure the JM essay deadline was a moving target, they gave people who applied later more time. I think they told me Feb 25th or so. Dean Rahm to me they were giving 12 invitations and that applications at UR were up 27% (not positive on those numbers).

Gooood Lord! If it's going to take a 177 to land a JMS, I might as well send in my deposit to Wake.

Congrats, by the way.

Missed a call this afternoon. Judging from this thread it must have been about the JM. I will report back soon.
