I'm pretty much the same. NC resident. Got my letter over the weekend.

The in-state equalizer scholarship of no less than $18,600/p.a. as well, so I will likely attend the ASD on 3/26. Anyone going to be there for sure?

For those of you who have not received $$ info yet, I would give it a few days. I guarantee that not all scholly decisions were made last week.

It seems like most of the schollys given out so far were in state equalizers for out of state students, so I don't *think* in state students should be too worried yet...right?

Got Scholly info via snail mail over the week-end.... got the no less than 18,600 (in-state equalizer) and it is really really making me consider south carolina.... just need to read what the conditions are. (2.5, 162 / strong softs).... anybody have any idea about job prospects from south carolina?? I know they have hired assistant us attorneys out of there for the last couple of years which really intrigues me. Right now it's down to USC, Temple (part-time), or Denver (part time).

I wish I knew if I was getting the instate equalizer. I'm scheduled to go to the ASD this weekend but I won't be attending the school without the aid.

I would keep checking mail until Friday. I seriously doubt that they have finished sending out ALL letters.

So how many do y'all think will actually show up on Saturday? My bet is between 50 and 60.

How will other TLS members recognize each other at ASD? Are there secret TLS handshakes?

I wont be attending accepted students day, I went to south Carolina UG and know the area somewhat well. However the scholarship is almost secured my spot, and will be visiting Columbia and apartment/house shopping in late May early June.

I really want to go, especially since I've never been to Columbia, but I have a prior commitment to another ASW. I think us TLSers who can't attend should make our own ASD and all get together and maybe sit in on a class & check out Columbia another weekend haha

I like this idea haha. I'm not going to be able to make it up this weekend. If anyone could take pictures and post them on here, that would be greatly appreciated!

9 out of 10 people will be in the same boat at USC. That will change quickly

Yeah all my friends are in Georgia & Virginia so I don't either! South Carolina is in my top 3 for sure, I just need to go check it out. When are you planning to go?

This doesn't matter at all. I was in the same boat when I started law school here and many of my classmates were as well. You will make some great friends down here.

Says a seasoned gamecock undergrad. In Columbia I had beach withdrawals. In Charleston I have Strom withdrawals.

Strom is arguably the nicest/best student rec center in the nation. Consistently voted into the top ten (you scan your hand to enter). The SEC probably the most beautiful athletic conference in the nation. Pair these together line up about 40 card machines and put an 1/8 indoor track outside of them. The strom will almost make up for the aging law building.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
