B) They send out mailings within "a couple of days" of DF and then transit time depends on weather/distance between USC and your location for the postal service.

Thanks for calling. USC undergrad here and went DF on 2/7. I'm half tempted to go over to the admissions office and ask them what my decision was, but I'd be really embarrassed if they told me I got rejected in person.

Yes. I am still UR 11/22. I think a bunch of us are. I simply refuse to withdraw before a decision.

I don't think they'd tell you your decision in person. They won't tell you over the phone, and saying it in person increases risk to the admissions office without offering any benefits.

Also, let's leave them alone so they can (slooooowly) review other people's apps (who haven't gone DF yet.) I'm also sure they don't want 50 or even 20 LA-area prospective students showing up at their door demanding (requesting) they look up and tell them their decisions.

It's just incredible how slow this cycle seems to be going. All my apps were in by 11/10. I've heard from 5/14 schools. I thought USC would be much faster since I went UR there the quickest. Apparently I was totally wrong.

The main reason I'm upset about the wait is that I am planning law school visits now, and it's extremely frustrating to not have decisions from places--especially ones that I applied to way long ago.

I'm from Buffalo, so planning a trip to Los Angeles takes some advance planning. I can't just get up and go, and they need to tell me what's up ASAP.

Thanks for calling. Did you ask if the status changes directly from under review to waitlist if you were waitlisted? What a disappointment it would be if the status changes from under review to decision finalized to waitlist right about when the rest of the DF group gets their admit/reject packets... and here we were all thinking we're either IN or OUT lol.

People who were WL last year found out from their status checker (and yes it went straight to saying WL, and never went DF followed by WL)

why didn't you apply to stanford or harvard?

Harvard not Stanford. I just didn't put it in my list but if you read the 2/3 entry in my quasi blog it says I sent a hail mary to Harvard. I just don't want to jinx myself. Also I'm retaking the LSAT Saturday. Hopefully I can get a 170 just sucks I been practicing at 168 .
