RE: USC: USC is taking forever for high-numbers applicants who applied pre-Thanksgiving. Those who applied around January seem to be receiving decisions quickly. Odd.
Those who applied later wouldn't have been eligible for the Rothman. I think it's likely that anyone still under consideration for that has not yet been dealt with (i.e., some were but have since been accepted; I assume they're out of the running, but that could be completely wrong...).
As an 11/22 UR, I hope you're right!
I am UR 2/22 from 11/8- > 11/22 > 2/11 and was invited to, but didn't apply for, the rothman. 168, 3.87. wtf are they doing with my app?

They're passing it around, wondering why you didn't apply for the Rothman. "Eh, look at this one! S/he didn't apply for Frankie's scholarship...."

Edit: too many embeds... parsing.

That's quite a range there.

That's, really, about as unhelpful as an admissions committee can be. I mean, I figured there would be at least one round of decisions between now and mid-March. Really.

You receive an email also a few days after decision finalized.

Do all DFs for one date get posted at the same time or is there still hope for later today? Anyone know what happened last time?

Still IR 11/22. Getting more tempted every day to withdraw but I can't bring myself to do it.

Throughout the day, I think. There's still an hour and change until 5 pm in California.

Might give you a sense of control, but you paid. Even if it was only $12, you paid...

This and the fact that waiting doesn't really require us to physically do anything but sit around. If SC required us to jump through hoops to get a decision, I would have withdrawn some time ago.

They do, but your status checker updates to DF without a +/- indicator before you get the letter.

More like Boo SC amirite? Jk. Wow. I just shudder at the thought of missing this round of DFs and waiting another 3 weeks. If they need another 3 weeks to render a positive decision on me then so be it, but...

I have the same Review date as you other DFs, but, alas...

I think given your numbers you could easily be waiting until April. I'm not saying you won't hear earlier, but frankly if I were in the 166-167/3.2-3.6 range I'd be happy not to see a DF today when the other 2/28 DFs seem to be 170+/3.5+.

Don't they usually send out all the admits on a single day though? And the accepts with borderline numbers usually come before rejects with borderline numbers?

The last batch of DFs was a mixed bunch, IIRC.

Yeah mixed, but I believe the overwhelming majority of the DF 2/7 batch were admits with a few dings. Well, that is based off of TLS notifications.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
