The fact that you're already UR suggests you're on the fast track, so not really sure how accurate of a timeframe these other apps could provide. You obviously stand an excellent chance, though.vi_vi wrote:Been lurking about here, rooting for everyone!
I got my app in right at the deadline and have been "In Review" as of 1/28/11. Any idea on the turn-around?
I'm a URM, 167/4.05 GPA with 2 MA's (UCLA and UofC).
Congrats on all the admits and good luck to the rest of us

Well yes and no. I remember him making the comment in one of the debates actually and the fact that he repeated it several times. The SNL skit reinforced the hilarity of it all.glitter178 wrote:Please tell me your username references the SNL skit about GoreLockBox wrote:Has this been the practice with USC prior to last year as well? Definitely not all ding or WL.

Oh, whoops haha, yeah; I meant UR 2/7 (previously UR 11/22). I'm just so used to seeing "DF"s in the comments (jealous).JJDancer wrote:Do you mean UR 2/7...because what movement would you need after DF??santoinettea wrote:Haha, amen. I've literally posted my scores on this thread at least twice today, but good one buddy! FWIW, I'm not negative, I'm just being realistic.shnoop wrote:Top14Hope wrote:Because DF 2/7 group = most likely denial or WL.mybrain wrote:I wonder how many are stuck in 'complete' since Nov like me with reasonable #s.
Stuck in complete 11/16. #s are both median.
Shouldn't be only me....any idea why I'm stuck?
You are still in it to win it. Trust me, you don't want to be in the DF 2/7 group with me and my LSAT score.
Please love 2/7 group USC!
P.S. Idea for title of a new "How to get a 170 LSAT" thread, one that better stresses the importance of retaking if you don't perform well: Me and my LSAT score
If your goal is to be the most negative person on this thread can you at least post your scores so we get an idea of what they are before you make everyone feel bad
Just for you I'll say my stats again.
GPA above 75% / LSAT below 25%
Not URM
Very strong application (confirmed by multiple academic advisors) Who I hope weren't just making me feel good.

Re: USC 2011
Just one year, they should send people door to door to reject people. Preferably the dean himself. That way, you could be like, "well, I didn't get in, but at least I don't have to go door to door to 6,000 people just to have a really awkward conversation."

What about acceptances? I had USC down as a safety, I'd be shocked if I was rejected or w/l.Top14Hope wrote:Rejection letter ----> snail mail.rjh456 wrote:does anyone know if usc sends out rejection letters via snail mail or email?

Gotti, I guess this means we are either IN or OUT. GL!!Dreamcast11 wrote:FYI

2/7 people should find out tmw, when socal people get their letters
*edit: I take this back. Looks like it took from a week to a month for most people to get letters when they went DF

Unless it's a mixed batch, and all the socal people just happen to be one way or the other.Redsgomarchingon wrote:2/7 people should find out tmw, when socal people get their letters

Re: USC 2011
my status also changed to decision finalized on 2/7. not to stir the pot or anything but i'm a 3.67/172, i think it's pretty strong but definitely not YP territory...
would they really send out ALL acceptances or ALL rejections? it doesn't really make sense; if they're ready to send out batches why would they save acceptances or rejections they already rendered just to keep the batch homogeneous?
anyway, has anyone confirmed the post above that all WL's are actually shown on your status checker - hence applicants in the 2/7 group are either IN or OUT?

Re: USC 2011
I'm going to call and ask some of these questions.
I think I'll at least ask whether WLs are notified via status checker and how soon after DF I can look out for the mail ( a week/3 weeks - some idea).
Will post what they say.
My thoughts: the VERY early (for USC) DFs (the Dec batch) had to wait for letters until the Jan batch. But the 2 batches in Jan seemed to get them within 3-7 days of DF...

Re: USC 2011
I don't think anyone has been WL this year, as of yet. However, last year, WL people were notified through there status checker only (although, I only read until Feb 22nd in last years forum, so this could have changed latter in the cycle.)tlslsnlsp wrote:anyway, has anyone confirmed the post above that all WL's are actually shown on your status checker - hence applicants in the 2/7 group are either IN or OUT?
So we really don't know anything for sure.

CALLED THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE:
A) Waitlist shows up on status checker
B) They send out mailings within "a couple of days" of DF and then transit time depends on weather/distance between USC and your location for the postal service.

Is anyone still stuck in 11/22 purgatory with me? At this point they could have translated my application into Sanskrit, sent it to Oxford, had them review the app, and sent it back with a decision on the QE2.
