Submitted yesterday! If last cycle was any indication, I won't be complete for another month or so..leopardRAWR wrote:Has anyone submitted/went complete/become under review already?

I also submitted earlier this week and am currently in review. In light of how long things took last year I thought it might be a computer glitch, but I guess not. Thoughts of what being complete/in review this early means?

Less applicants?leopardRAWR wrote:I also submitted earlier this week and am currently in review. In light of how long things took last year I thought it might be a computer glitch, but I guess not. Thoughts of what being complete/in review this early means?
Edit: In your case, it probably means an early accept. I remember last year, the first wave of acceptances were pretty much those who had gone in review the earliest. In any case, I'm glad they changed around their policy a bit. Last year, USC requested that the LSAC reports be MAILED so people didn't go complete for a month or two...

Re: USC 2011
I submitted my application on 10/5, got the application complete email on 10/6, and have been under review since 10/7.
That would be utterlysweet if we'll be accepted early
Boo for waiting.

Re: USC 2011
There is no set timeline from UR-> Decision rendered. Some people are UR for days, some for months. I would imagine, though, that the people UR right now would be early accepts. Didn't see rejections last year until December/January or so.

Re: USC 2011
Submitted this afternoon and am already complete. My numbers will not lend themselves to auto-admit or anything (I'm borderline), but I'm hoping for a smooth ride to some extent.

Re: USC 2011
In review as of 10/7. The Status check site says decisions are mailed mid-December--is that considered early admit? I was kinda hoping for some good news in November.
..on another note, two days after sending in my application I got my fee waiver email. But it's not retroactive!! In other words (as per USC policy) since I already paid my application fee, I'm shit out of luck
You'd think they wouldn't want to penalize someone for applying early.

So if we do not go "under review" quickly, are we not to be admitted? Or at least not admitted right away?

Re: USC 2011
Maybe we should make bets on how long those of us already under review will have to wait for a decision.
I feel like the priority track concept at Duke spoils us and ruins our ability to be patient.

Is the LSAC website where you look to see the progress of your app?

Re: USC 2011
No, once you submit your applications, schools should send you an email with a link to their application status website. From there you can use the login name/password they provide you to see when your application is received, complete, under review, decision made etc.2807 wrote:Is the LSAC website where you look to see the progress of your app?

It just means that you're not an auto-admit. Last year, I think they tried to review all of the early auto-admit apps and started sending out Rothman invites in nov/dec after screening initial numbers.

Re: USC 2011
Hey guys, I submitted my app on 10/14 but my LSAT score is still pending. However I got an email from the admissions office saying that I have my social security number missing (I'm an international applicant, was issued a number by LSAC but didn't want to put that on my app.). I just wonder whether USC is already looking at my application? I thought they won't look at it until the file is complete?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
