You obviously know the way into my good graces is through LSN data pulls. Thanks for the info!boushi wrote:FYI, I just pulled all the wait list data off LSN from last year:
149 reported wait lists:
20 Rejected
16 Admitted
77 No update indicated
36 Withdrew
Of those admitted, 4 were above both medians, 1 was below both medians and non-URM, 2 were URM and below both medians, and the other 9 were above one median but below the other; moreover, 8 were admitted in May, 4 in June, 1 in July, 1 in August, and 2 had no date deported (though the date of the last updates to the Harvard field for both seems to indicate it was probably in August).
Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth begin!

WL
Thank god for TLS for keeping us from getting our hopes up. Harvard also waitlisted my officemate and he didn't even apply
Oh well - its cool I'll ride the waitlist and try to forget about while I make my other plans because I'd go if I got in.

No, it's cool. No worries. I'm just guessing that I'm not the only one watching this thread and wondering why my Gmail doesn't have a (1).CastleRock wrote:Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a dick head about it. And yeah, Dany, we tried really hard to make this thread about Pride and Prejudice, but everyone would rather talk about Harvard for some reason.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Isn't this what Harvard does every year? Enormous WL and then a big wave of rejections for everyone who is left, then movement starting after the deadlines start on 5/1. I feel that most people who are left and bothering to post on this thread probably have the numbers to be considered, so it's only natural that most of us would be WL'ed.

Yeah but problem this time is, there is no one left. They WLed everyone and their grandmother and their office mates, it seems.Verisimi wrote:Isn't this what Harvard does every year? Well then, I guess maybe more people will self-select out. At least this way more can say they got WL'ed and not rejected by Harvard .Nulli Secundus wrote:Yeah but problem this time is, there is no one left.
