Both the JR1s and JR2s come from a 617-496-xxxx number.shoop wrote: When the snowpocalypse card is not in play, do JR1/2s usually come from a 617-495-xxxx/617-496-xxxx number (those seems to be the Harvard areacodes and prefixes)? I'm wondering if I'm seriously looking at his cell/home number in my call log (and contemplating deleting it so I don't butt-dial the one person in the world that I really really need to like me right now).
It's possible that there hasn't even been a round of admit calls since your JR1 (though I'm not sure about this as I haven't been keeping up). In that case, you really don't need to worry.juliachild-ish wrote: This is why I am slowly starting to feel less confident, after having my JR1 early last week.

Yeah seriously. Who sends rejection letters via snail mail without any sort of update on the status checker? That is cruel, Columbia.ahduth wrote:FTFY.shoop wrote:We'll never catch the Columbia thread withoutstirring up some reply-provoking speculative paranoia!Harvard doing something to piss off a ton of their applicants.

In this competitive environment, I guess the logical next step is some school hiring "lol squads", going to homes or schools of dinged applicants and yelling "THIS LOSER JUST GOT DINGED" in public.champsound wrote:Yeah seriously. Interesting that they took so long to reach this decision on you, eaa. I'd take that as a good sign that they are seriously considering you.eaa1537 wrote:HELD HELD HELD HELD!!!

I know? I'm so beyond trying to understand this process that I'll just take the hold and go with it. Already sent in a LOCI and will now be sending a new LOR. Hope we can all be classmatesWeirdlog wrote:Interesting that they took so long to reach this decision on you, eaa. Oh I wish . Between this, the Columbia hold, and my ongoing UVA limbo, I'm going to be going on a LOCI-writing binge this weekend.Nulli Secundus wrote:Nope when they say "held", they mean JR coming in person and hugging them.glitched wrote:Is this all by email?
