I've been lurking in this thread from the beginning but haven't posted yet. wanted to share that I just got my JR1 email and ask people who have already had theirs--was the hour time frame relatively accurate?
Well, another round of JR1 emails, another round of disappointment.
Looks like it's time for another round of drinks!

Okay, now I take offense...I think you went from calling me a man, to a female, to an "it"!!! This means war!!! Also, thanks! Will check it out once I'm off from work.Non-Chalant1 wrote:I knew it was going to end up being a female LOL. And s0ph1e2007, your stats and URM status are amazing. Even with the GPA, I'd say you have an exceptional shot!

I'm not sure Timma, but I noticed the same thing. Are we all being compared to each other? Who knows. However, I got a decision letter sent from NYU today so at least that's good news (I think).

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Submitted November 15th, UR since 16th got completion email 11/24.
Still nothing. (NOT even a status update..... )
I guess..it's pretty hopeless?
Don't JRs come much sooner if they are to happen?

Had JR1 recently. Got the standard questions. I should add that "Why Law" was NOT what I was expecting, however - JR added, "What would you do with a JD?" whereas I was thinking that the question was more "why are you interested in the study of law." This may be obvious to 99% people but I certainly wasn't thinking of "Why Law" in a career sense at all and it caught me off guard.

Yeah it seems like that's what JR is looking for. your answer should not be "because I would find studying law for three years interesting," but rather what you want to accomplish with your education.mtrl wrote:Had JR1 recently. I like your baseless speculation It means maybe that they don't just hate me, or think I'm an auto-ding. I want them SO BADLY to look at my new transcript, which they wont have a chance to look at until they get back, I'm sure.timmna wrote:I saw another URM in our UR group, Non. Dear Santa,
All I want for X-mas is a JR2. I promise I've been nice. And sufficiently nerdy.
Sincerely,
a kid stuck in post-JR1 purgatory

I'm with you there. Just have to remain calm, and have to remember that even if we don't get the call this week, there are plenty of people who get held before getting in. Right? Right??
And if we don't get in, we can at least revive this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =7&t=98735
Godspeed to you all.

+1!! I interviewed last week too. Gonna attempt to sleep, but I know it's a lost cause. Those JR1s are going out fast...sigh, here's to hoping I'll be held at least. I'm also UR 11/17, complete 11/24. Do people who got recent JR1s/JR2s care to share stats to feed my neurotism?
