I told myself I was ready to wait 2 weeks after my 2/2 JR1 before I start getting antsy, but seeing 3+ 2/2 JR1s get the JR2s today is making me a tiny bit crazy.

Hold fast. If you don't hear something today you should hear something soon (hopefully, fingers crossed, knock on wood).shoop wrote:I told myself I was ready to wait 2 weeks after my 2/2 JR1 before I start getting antsy, but seeing 3+ 2/2 JR1s get the JR2s today is making me a tiny bit crazy.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I'm in Hawaii and got my JR2 while getting ready for work at around 6:30am my time.
Saw a missed call from that sacred 617 area code - and nearly puked from the shock of it.
1/03 Submitted, 1/20 JR1, 2/07 JR2.
I'm going to the the H-Bomb!
G'luck everyone!

Thanks! I don't know, that's how I felt after getting that hold email and then, right when I had given up hope, the Rube blindsided me with that email. So you never know, he's works in mysterious ways, haha.LinzerTorte wrote:Congrats...sigh...I think they have lost my app.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I recently received an email saying that my application has been held. The email invites me to "update my application" with fall grades, additional LOR's, and also, "If you have a special interest in attending Harvard, please feel free to tell us about that as well."
I'm already finished with undergrad so I don't have any new grades to submit.
As to the "special interest in attending Harvard," I'm really not sure what to say other than, "Harvard's awesome, I really want to go there." Which obviously sets me apart from the other 8000 people applying.
Anyone have any ideas?

If you haven't got a call at all (JR1, whatnot) you are a sure rejection, right?
My numbers are nowhere near Harvard, so I'm not expecting to get in anyway, but why won't they send the rejection letters? I'm confused.

Nope, you're not a sure rejection. You could get held and those who get held can be WLed or accepted.darkgreenfruit wrote:If you haven't got a call at all (JR1, whatnot) you are a sure rejection, right?

I know people in the past who got held and then WL'd. I'm sure a few get held and then accepted.CastleRock wrote:Nope, you're not a sure rejection. But with my numbers it's definitely a long shot.

I submitted 3 LORs when I applied (way back when), and now I've been held for a month. I have another good LOR sitting on the LSAC servers - should I submit it?

Is it qualitatively different? If it adds to your application, I don't see why not.BarnabeSpooge wrote:I submitted 3 LORs when I applied (way back when), and now I've been held for a month. I have another good LOR sitting on the LSAC servers - should I submit it?
When were you held, today?

Ah, I missed that. Just wondering if the forgotten are still being picked up by these various waves of decisions.

Thanks. If I just click "assign new letter" on LSAC.org, it sends automatically, right?

Haha, I love that show so much. About two minutes after I made a login, I realized that I should have named myself "Clown Baby."glitched wrote: Omg quoted to just say that I hate the mcpoyles... lol soooo gross. Whenever the sister slurps I throw up a little.

Naw just coffee. And to be less jumpy at the possibility of more decisions coming down from Cambridge.r6_philly wrote:Dude you need reading glasses.ahduth wrote:Ah, I missed that. Just wondering if the forgotten are still being picked up by these various waves of decisions.

But there aren't any decisions! They are playing with our emotions, come on held & forgotten let us withdraw together to teach them a lesson!!! (Haha)ahduth wrote:Naw just coffee.
