Wait..are you saying that we should be able to log on tonight...or that we shouldn't be able to? Haha I'm very confused by your post!
My last status updated on a Monday. That Monday I was able to generate a password. I was not able to log onto the website till 4-5 days later on the Friday of that week. I received my letter in the mail around the same time I was able to log onto the website. Earlier in the cycle it seemed like decisions were only coming out on Mondays. I am not sure if they have continued this pattern.
Thanks for the clarification! I appreciate it :)

Congrats! What does your status checker say? When did you submit?

Just wanted to chime in and say I have a 1/28 update as well. I believe this is my 3rd complete update. I had one after submitted in Dec, then another one sometime in January. I'm a 3.74/177, group interviewed in early January, and cannot generate a password. I'm not too worried because I've been admitted to NYU & Columbia but if GULC throws some scholarship money I would def take it into consideration.

Good luck everyone!

Did people talk about their reasons for wanting to attend G'town in your interview?

No, the Dean gave us hypothetical situations and we debated them. The group interview wasn't really something that could be prepared for. It was kind of weird though because there were 15 of us interviewing together and the whole thing lasted around 1 hour.

quick question: what's the format for admissions decisions? WLs/dings via email i'm assuming, but acceptances?

Acceptances are by snail mail.

I think snail mail for acceptances in an apparently small regular envelope. Frustratingly, they don't post mailings on the status checker. From what I can gather we might have to wait till Monday until admits can use the Admitted Students Website. I find it highly suspect that people with 173+ LSATs would get rejected or even YP'd

Just out of curiosity, what would you guys choose: 106k @ GW or sticker @ Gtown?

Georgetown = $45k tuition per year

GW = $44k tuition per year

Cost of Living per year is probably $15-20k depending on need for health care, how comfortable you want to be, social life, etc.

So pretty much, how debt averse are you? Georgetown would put you in $180-200k debt, while GW would only run you $70-85K of debt.

The rankings are not that substantially different, though Georgetown has lots more prestige and is in the "T-14". They both have pretty large class sizes, but I feel like there will be far more gunners at Georgetown.

If you're confident in your ability to remain at the top of your class regardless, I'd do GW because I'd come out with more than half the debt and if you can land a job just the same, you'll be able to pay down your debt and get to saving, buying a home much faster.

The envelope is really tiny. I got it in the mail this morning and was worried for a second.

Yeah that makes sense. And I'm guessing that is why GW offers the deal they do...to sway people who are accepted into GULC at sticker to go to GW instead. I'd definitely still seriously consider Gtown if I get in regardless though.

So has anyone been accepted via email/status checker yet? Or is it established that snail mail is the way it's gonna be?

I think it's snail mail always, but there's the Admitted Students Website trick where you can try to get it to generate a username and password for you and if it does, then you are in. So far no one in the "Completed 1/28" batch has been able to generate one. However, someone a few pages back said that people on that went complete on a Friday couldn't access until Monday.

I went complete on 1/7 when I received the link to Status Check. I applied ED to their PT program (URM; AA male).

I was updated 1/14 and then I was updated again on 1/21. No movement since then. Is 1/21 not a good batch to be in? :(

Everyone seems to think the 1/28 is the ticket.

Your application is likely still in the committee if you updated that long ago and never received anything. You probably have at least one more update left. I've had about 8, but I hear that is unusual.

Georgetown makes you seriously afraid of your e-mail account. Seriously. I let out a sigh of relief every night when I have not gotten an e-mail from them.

I have a completed date of 1/24 and I was just able to generate a password and username. I didn't know about that trick until just now. Are we sure it's legit?
