No access yet for me. I gather from your wondering that you're in the same boat. By my count, there were four others on this board who updated yesterday along with us. I suspect we'd have heard from them had they been able to generate a password on ASWeb. And so we wait.bender18 wrote:I wonder if anyone from the 2/17 update has had access to the ASW yet..
I'm also waiting on a decision letter from NYU sent yesterday. Thankfully it doesn't have far to travel (just a borough away), so perhaps I'll see it as soon as tomorrow.
I wonder whether Monday will be quiet given the holiday, or do AdComs work 80-hour weeks during the peak period?

I'm still just complete 1/5. Is there anyone else in this group? I applied 12/7 and my numbers are 170/3.6. I'm pretty confused as to why I still haven't gone UR.

Still rocking October hold > update 2/7 and 2/16. Thread and #'s are far too tl;dr for me to go back and figure out what this means, but I'm guessing WL is coming my way eventually.

Yeah, I wasn't able to generate a password either today or yesterday and no email. Guess we just have to wait!Sandrew wrote:No access yet for me. Shatra: Were you responding on behalf of the 2/18 WL crowd, or were you among them? If the latter, I'm shocked and you have my condolences.shatra wrote:On 2/16.Flips88 wrote:Did you guys that are getting WL'd right now get updated recently?

Edit: Hopefully we'll both hear good news from NYU next week.

GULC seems to be yield protecting pretty strongly this year, but I imagine that those people with numbers above both medians would stand a very good chance if they really wanted to go to GULC and sent LOCI.

Regular waitlist. Pretty sure I had a great interview as my interviewer said he/she'd give me a stellar recommendation. Wrote what I thought was a pretty good LOCI. Was held for nearly 3 months and wasted a whole day to go to the interview just to be put on the regular waitlist.
They should have just denied me 3.5 months ago and saved us both the time.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
Do we think there's any substantive difference between a one-on-one interview and a group interview? Is there any benefit to either? does getting one or the other imply anything about the strength of your app?
edit: someone PMed me where you talked about this before, so nvm

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
Tough day yesterday. I counted 17 or 18 applicants reporting waitlisted 2/18 on TLS and LSN, with numbers ranging from expected "auto-admits" to candidates with more marginal numbers.
175/3.76
174/3.9
174/3.38
172/3.92
171/3.55
171/3.4 URM
170/2.94
170/2.60 URM
169/3.89
167/3.80
167/3.75 (possibly double-counted)
167/3.7
167/3.68
166/3.8
165/3.85 URM
165/3.7
163/4.01
158/3.50 URM
If you've been WL'd and are still gunning for GULC, hold out hope. Judging by LSN data, plenty of folks were accepted off the waitlist in past cycles, and some even earned scholarships/grants. Get your LOCIs in the post and good luck!
