I think you are reading way to much into these status updates. I am a URM and stuck on a late October date (the day my interview request was sent). Conducted my interview this week. Hopefully looking for some movement next week.
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Damn, me too. I will let you guys know if there is anything in my mailbox today. I might drive home on Saturday, so after today that would be the earliest update from my end.
No mail from GULC in DC today. Hopefully something arrives while I am gone.

Are you now on 11/24?
Same here, i'm 11/15 - 11/18, no movement since
Another stuck at 11/18
11/12 --> 11/15 --> 11/18
this may sound totally weird and quasi-conspiracy-ish (i don't mean it to haha) but i'm also stuck on 11/18, and i'm a urm (maybe -- even though i know georgetown's application didn't specifically ask about race/ethnicity). having quickly looked at your profiles, i feel like a lot of us who are still on 11/18 are urms. idk what to make of it, but it's an observation/i hope they're not comparing us to one another
Maybe that's why I'm all alone at 11/24...I'm not a URM. Still this is making me quite nervous.

Are you able to log in using that? Seems to be a good sign, but those of us with recent status updates who can do this are having trouble logging in.

Hmm, was 11/8->11/11->11/18, and it just updated to 11/24 today. Hopefully I'll get back to school finding the acceptance card was sent out today

Any of those updated 11/23 try logging into the admitted students' site recently? Success?

Where did the idea come from that the date of the status checker has some significance? Isn't it possible that it doesn't mean anything?

I haven't, but since I'm set to have a somewhat unpredictable cycle (retaker with a huge gap between scores) I'm trying not to jinx anything. Especially after I read in one of these threads that someone got into the admitted students website (I'm not sure if it was GULC, NYU, or another one) and ended up getting rejected.

I believe it was GULC, but I could be mistaken. But yeah, I won't be trying any admitted students websites before I know. Just adds too much potential stress and such.

What I'm talking about wasn't someone getting rejected BECAUSE they looked - they just were able to log in (mistakenly) and actually didn't get into the school.
What you're talking about now is a large group of business school admissions where someone posted a link to a site where you could see the status of your application (but it was the university's site - not like a status checker or site FOR students.) They were rejected for hacking in. Don't remember the exact details; we talked about it in Ethics.
Edit: I realize that's all super vague. The first example is just something I read about on TLS. I'll try to find the post later.

Just to clear up any confusion, we're on the same page. I agree with birdlaw too in that it just adds too much stress trying to access one more thing... after all if you were to be able to access an admitted students' site, you would find out your acceptance relatively soon after anyway. So I understand that it's not that people get rejected for looking (and I apologize for the misunderstanding if your post was only directed at Kili and not at me), but again I just don't need to mess around with my psyche by possibly finding out I was "admitted" into a school, only to get a rejection letter in the mail.

yeah, sorry - I was mostly responding to Kili because I didn't want people to freak out and think they were going to get rejected because they tried to log in.
I completely understand just wanting to wait for the letter. No sense in adding stress/being unsure when the real decision will be there in a few days!

Applied 11/2. No contact or status check since. Is this normal for G-town?
