Does it really take weeks to inform a few dozen people?

They may not have rendered a decision yet for many people, especially those who didn't go complete until the middle of November.

i lived in pittsburgh (PA) and went to cmu.

i occasionally get calls from PA as well.......

hopefully today's one is from Penn

I got one better ... I get calls from Penn numbers, and I also just applied for a few jobs on campus. So even a stranger from Penn isn't going to be indicative.

prefix should be 898 though.

Did anyone have their UCR date change at least once before today? I wonder if being read by 2 members means your date will update.

They say that all applications are read by at least two members.

Mine changed from, I believe, 11/4 to 11/9.

I have a UCR update as early as yesterday (12/6 - 12/7)...but I switched to ED from RD only a couple of weeks ago.

I don't believe my date's changed at all (11/4), but I could be wrong. Maybe my file was read once before then and I didn't notice the prior UCR date.

I have the same update. No shot we'll hear back today most likely. I forgot to submit my ED contract so I'm in a similar situation to you and I only submitted it on like 11/22 around there-ish.

I applied on 10/10 and went complete on 10/13.

My last status update, UCR, was on 11/9, but I have no idea if mine went UCR before.

Yeah, pretty much. Kinda a sucky situation - if I had submitted early, and people started getting calls back and I didn't, I could probably assume I had been waitlisted or deferred. But because I submitted later than everyone else it's pretty much a crapshoot.

Yes, it's 1:00 here. Still no calls at least on the TLS front I'm assuming? Maybe they're doing it later in the day this cycle.. To Oreo and Socio: I lament this situation. I don't even wish I had submitted earlier, just wish I had remembered to include the ED contract. Though they did update my status twice so that must mean two people read it.. It's possible they did review it that quickly I guess. Well, when people start getting calls we'll see if they're admitting people randomly or by their submit dates.

I seriously doubt changing dates (or the lack thereof) signify either auto-acceptance or auto-denial.

No, I thought that too and then I went UCR. They have until Dec. 22nd so it is definitely possible that you won't go UCR until this week or next week. ;/.

Does anyone remember how many ED admits there were last year out of how many applicants? I thought the pool isn't that large and the admit number is small. Since many of you only went UCR update today, they are probably still confirming admit/deny/wl right now with the second reader.
