Did anyone do a "why duke" essay. I didn't but i'm thinking about sending one. Also, I took the LSAT twice and got a 161 and the a 169. Should I send an addendum for that? Basically I actually studied the second time and that's the only reason for the difference.

Woah congrats! Numbers and dates?

Thanks, I'm pretty psyched. I applied September 1, went under review in October sometime (I think the 16th), missed a call at 5:22 on Monday, the 6th. Voicemail from the Dean, asked to call anytime Tuesday. When I did, he congratulated me and said he would release an email. Got the email at 4:30. I'm 170, 3.32, URM.

What do your statuses say on your status checkers?

ED Under Review 11/8, 12/7, 12/9. Got deferred into the regular admissions pool today. What does that mean as far as my chances go?

Damn, under review 11/1, non-PT, non-ED and nothing....very ominous.

UR 11/15....still nothing, but I'm calm about it all. I need to focus on school work and then I'll be better off than if I suffocate myself with consistent status checking.

Is anyone else applying for a dual degree program? I'm a Duke undergrad and I applied to the JD/MA program in Environmental Studies.

I loooove Duke, and I wish it would love me back. But I haven't seen any movement since going UR 11/8. Do dual degree applicants usually have to wait longer to hear back?

Edit: It would make sense that I'd have to wait longer, since they have to get approval from two schools, but I guess I'm just hoping for some news before Christmas...

Apparently Duke is trying to lower it's class size from 220 to 180.

+1. Although if they both decided to let me in in February or March, I won't be complaining at all.
