I am about to register for the tour too..
Is this 1:1 tour? or group tour??
It's a group tour. They have an info session prior to the tour.
And NO it's not only admitted students. I haven't received a decision from Fordham yet.

Why am I just sitting at complete? I've been complete since 11/17. So frustrating.

Does the status change from Complete to Under Review before you receive a decision?

I think that's still uncertain. Last week a lot of us went from Under Review back to Complete. I, for example, went Under Review on 11/17, now the status checker says Complete on 11/17...

I am coming all the way from the good old Georgia...lol
Anyway, is your app UR?
If it is, how long did it take for your app to go from Complete to UR??
Mine is there being complete for like 18 days now.. compared to other schools it's really slow.
Is this normal for Fordham?

Been complete since 11/18. What the heck does that mean?
I'll be in NY over the holidays. Might stop by and check it out.

Question….what do you guys think of this:
I know people on this thread have applied and therefore think Fordham is a viable option (unlike everyone else on TLS that thinks going to Fordham is the worst decision ever), so that’s why I’m asking here. I’ll probably post this elsewhere as well just to get more opinions. It seems that if this were true and if it’s competing fiercely with T14, the law school would be ranked a little higher…?

you have to remember that there are a lot of factors that go into the rankings, not just job placement. Fordham took a hit when the PT numbers were included, but has cut the class in half and raised the medians. I think the facilities also factor in, and Fordham is def lacking in that capacity (at present, anyway). Fordham has a great reputation in NYC and that means more than what US News says. (At least that's what I'm telling myself).

location, location, location. nyc is by far the largest biglaw market.

you think this is accurate though? Do Fordham grads really placed that high or is it a skewed/biased report?

Well any school is going to spotlight the numbers in a way that makes them the most attractive, and without researching it myself I can't say whether that chart is true, but again, Fordham has a very good reputation in NYC firms, they know what they're getting with Fordham grads.

Yeah I know Fordham is a good school but I just don't understand why it's ranked 34 this year. Obviously a lot of factors come into play like you said earlier, but what I'm having a hard time with is this:
I'm from CA, but I LOVE NYC and want to live there for a while...so I'm looking at NYC schools. I have absolutely no idea what my mindset is going to be like 3.5-4 years from now...I don't know if I'm going to still love NYC and want to live there or if I'm going to want to move back home. So let's say I get into USC, which is T20, and have a choice between there and Fordham. I feel like USC is the better option overall and will definitely be the best choice if I want to live in LA or CA in general, but I have my heart set to go to NYC for a while and I might want to end up there. How do I justify picking #34 over #18 if I have no idea where I want to be in 4 years??
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
