SOOOO pumped right now. :)

Hope others receive some good news today as well.
Congrats! Did you receive an e-mail similar to the others?
Yes, said I'd be hearing more in the next few days.
Just wondering when you sent your app in and when you were waitlisted. I sent my app in on Jan 11th and was WL on April 4th. I see a few of you here with similar #s getting off the WL so I was just wondering if they're doing it on a rolling basis or what. I'm 160/3.78 WI resident and sent a really good LOCI so I'm becoming nervous/impatient. haha
I sent my app in on Jan 23rd and was WL on April 4th also. Don't give up hope -- I'm sure more movement is to come.

I found some decent-sized efficiencies around Madison, but my whole thing is having a space where I can get away for a little bit. Chances are, my desk will be a cluttered war-zone of 1L glory. But if I need to get away for 2 hours to read a romance novel (not that I do that), I'd like to be able to have a nice living area to do that in. There are decent one-bedrooms available. Keep your eyes open.

It seems like there has been a lot of waitlist activity as of late. I am one of the people still (im)patiently waiting. When does activity begin to slow down? Would it be wise to call the admissions office to ask where I stand on the waitlist?

It seems like July would be the time when a reasonable person would give up hope.

I'm in the same boat, but I've heard from a couple of people about acceptances being sent the day before school started in fall! That's insane. Most people have to decline because they're all set to go somewhere else. The rental market is pretty tight near the school I chose so I will have to go up no later than mid June to put a deposit on an apartment. :/ sigh.

Nothing too special, just mentioned that UW was far and away my first choice, and that i would for sure attend if admitted. mentioned their law in action program and other specifics about the school that i liked so they knew that i wasnt just sending out the same basic LOCI to all the schools i was waitlisted at. I also emailed the acting dean mentioning my desire to go there and requested to meet with her (never replied, but i assume it helped some)

Went to Madison this weekend and got an apartment!! Glad that is done. Now I need to really figure out a budget, because it was more than I was wanting to spend. I have a dog so I didn't have much for options. Anyways I am excited! When is everyone else moving there? I will be there Aug 17th. Anyone else moving into Surf and Surfside??

Is this the major post that everyone attending next fall is chatting on? I noticed no one is talking on the University of Wisconsin Class of 2014 post. Just interested... not important :)

I'll be there around the start of August. We have a flat on Ingersoll and Johnson. Super excited to get there and get ready for school. I didn't even know there was a Class of thread.

I have an awesome apartment for rent. If anyone needs a nice place (that's reasonably priced) to live thats literally walking distance from the law school, let me know ASAP.

I withdrew recently, so that opens up a spot for someone. I hope it goes to one of you on here.

I am also in the same lease situation. I have a studio at the Surf. Its pretty cheap and all utilities are included. Plus it looks over Lake Mendota and its close to the law school. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact me.

I just got accepted off the waitlist this past weekend and now I'm trying to set up a visit. Plane tickets are $800 for some reason so I'm thinking of taking a greyhound but I'm wondering does anyone know what area I should arrive at to be near everything?

IIRC, the Madison Express greyhound station is on campus at the student union.

$800? Is that to Madison or to Milwaukee? From where? You could probably fly into Milwaukee from almost anywhere in the country and rent a midsize car and still come out under $800. It's a little over an hour from the Milwaukee airport. Madison's airport is smaller and, for the most part, regional.
