no. they want you to pay tuition at some point, though.clarebear726 wrote:wait so this might be a really stupid question, but i know madison doesn't have an initial deposit, but is there one due june 1 or whatever?
Also, there is a national database of double-depositors and they crack down hard on those that are deposited at other places while still holding a spot at Wisconsin.

I need to get off TLS and LSN. Being on the wait list, I cringe every time I see someone accept an offer and cheer when someone withdraws. It's an emotional roller coaster...

Just tossing my reject in. 156/2.6 (3.6), so it was no surprise. It was the only school I applied to anyway. Good luck to those still waiting, congrats to those who got in. Wish me luck for next year.

Does anyone know why the clerkship placements for UW are so low? Is it a self-selection thing?

Everyone at T14's who can't get biglaw jobs are taking clerkships from the rest of Tier 1 schools.gens1tb wrote:Does anyone know why the clerkship placements for UW are so low? Is it a self-selection thing?
It is certainly not a self-selection thing.

Re: UW-Madison 2011
I saw some people on here saying that they emailed asking for an answer if possible (obviously in a tactful manner) and the next day they were admitted. Any thoughts on this? Saying something like "I was wondering if a decision would be made on my file this week because I have a deposit due on Monday at my back-up school" ... something along those lines?
