If that is the case then its not worth the drama. Unless your LSAT was below 150 then just wait until next year. If you want to go to Mississippi then just go and don't apologize for it.

Oh, Alabama. Making me wait until the end of May to make a decision... I called today and that was what they had to tell me. The sad thing is that if Alabama accepted me I would drop any other school I pay a seat deposit to in a heartbeat and eat that loss of however many thousand dollars. And pay the full tuition. It's also the only school my parents have said they will help me with.

Of course it helps that tuition at Alabama coupled with low cost of living in Tuscaloosa makes it significantly cheaper than all peer schools.

Someone on LSN got accepted off the wait list and it looks like she isn't going to go to UA anyway. This is the first I've seen of it existing so maybe some decisions are going to start rolling in.

That's a bunk profile. No way they got into some of the school with listed numbers...regardless of URM status. Also, UA deposit deadline is not until April 1. I don't see them going to their waitlist this early.

I submitted before Christmas and still have not heard back....been mighty long time....the only good thing is that I have not been rejected yet, but on the same token, I havent been accepted...maybe Bama prefers mass-rejection?

Well it seems like the people who were accepted thus far are well above both medians, that being said, I highly doubt they are full to capacity yet, even of outstanding candidates that will probably have better offers.

Maybe, rather than just trickle out acceptances as they roll in, they're just going to mail out hundreds over the course of a week? The fact that they have remained dormant for so long though is scary to all of us, but like i said, I highly doubt they are done with acceptances yet.
