I'm coming to the ASW late Thursday night. I can't say I'm too excited to take an airport shuttle and go to a hotel alone but whatever. Guess I should get used to it.

Bama sent me a t-shirt around Christmas time and I got a copy of the law review last week.

Makes me glad I do not have Page and Claude's job and have to handwrite all those cards to everyone they accept.

Same. I'm more worried about the flight, I've never flown alone before so I'm a little nervous. We'll see though.

Has anyone booked their shuttle yet? I keep meaning to. About how much does it cost?

I haven't yet. If anyone's coming in around 10:30 at night on Thursday maybe we could share one? Is that weird?

Haha not weird at all, but I'm getting in at 5:30. Anyone getting in earlier wanna share a shuttle? And/or get dinner with me once we get there so I don't eat room service alone in my hotel room. Haha.

I might be able to share a shuttle with you, I get in at 4:10 PM. What would be even better is if someone renting a car wanted to shuttle us and we could throw down for gas money or something. I think the shuttle was $45/person if you go roundtrip and there's at least 2 people so I'd much rather just split the tab with someone who's got a rental car.

Where are they flying you guys into? Birmingham? I think that's a little ways from Tuscaloosa. Like an hour's drive.

I'm driving in from the other direction or else I would help out with some rides.

Yes, they're flying us to Birmingham. The airport in Tuscaloosa doesn't have commercial service. And yes, it's over an hour from the airport to the school, and we're responsible for that, which is why there's going to be some carpooling. I can make a carpool spreadsheet if anyone is interested, people post what time their rental will depart the airport and those without cars can PM the appropriate person to see about getting a ride.

Received phone call tonight letting me know I've been accepted and invited me to the open house this Friday. Crazy that they are working on a Sunday night!

haha well lets hope the call was legit. I just got the ASD e-mail. They didn't mention anything in the phone call about $$$.

Maybe someone will enlighten us as to how they notify you about scholarships????

I just got the Open House invite email as well. From the looks of it on the forum, scholarship notification occurred for everyone else through their phone calls. I doubt I'm going to get one seeing as how I'm a splitter...

Don't know if I can make the open house either; I have to see if I can get off work, and the week is already shortened. Either of you going on the short notice?

I may be able to go. I live only a couple of hours away in Auburn, so it will be easy to get there.
I also may have to work... so idk.

I'll be driving in from Georgia around 9pm Thursday night. If anyone wants to get dinner or try to find a happy hour somewhere I'd be up for that as I really don't want to sit around in the hotel room all night.

Also, I will be driving through B'ham so I could possibly give someone a lift from the airport.

Finally, I pretty much grew up in Alabama and if anyone has any questions about anything feel free to pm me or post here.
