I had a very similar story. Went complete 1/12, UR 1/21 and got admitted 1/24champsound wrote:This is basically my story except my dates are a week later.juliachild-ish wrote:I wouldn't be too too grim about January applicants. I sent in my application on 1/7 (after receiving my Dec. LSAT score) and was accepted on 1/19. I don't think I'm quite an auto-admit, though--my GPA is around the median, and my 2nd LSAT is above the 75th. But I submitted the same 2-page personal statement that I sent to all schools, without tailoring it at all to Boalt, and allegedly that's a no-no.
So my point is, even though Dean Tom says in interviews that late applicants are disadvantaged, I think that if your application is strong, you'll still be fine.
I haven't read much of this thread (because it is so long at this point) but this gives me a lot of happiness!bhan87 wrote:I had a very similar story. I got it four days ago it seems like a general mass email to admitted students. I haven't submitted yet it says the priority deadline is March 2nd. I don't really have to worry about it too much because I'll go for free anyway. but I'll probably submit it tonight anyway.CanadianWolf wrote:When did you receive the FAFSA email ? And when did you submit FAFSA ? Thanks & congratulations !
That's the email I got. Check your SPAM filter? This is an announcement to all applicants regarding the application process for financial aid. The Berkeley Law Financial Aid Office asks that you submit your applications for financial aid as soon as possible. Please do not wait until an admission decision is made.
I don't know I got mine after I was already admitted.CanadianWolf wrote:Does a FAFSA request from Berkeley have any significance regarding liklihood of being admitted ?
I doubt it. I'm pretty sure it said in the e-mail that the request had no bearing on our application status. Although, I guess I assumed everyone received one. Did anyone not receive one?CanadianWolf wrote:Does a FAFSA request from Berkeley have any significance regarding liklihood of being admitted ?
The city or the law school? The law school is old and horrendous and at this time of the year Miami is nice but in the summer it's unbearable the humidity is just crazy.CanadianWolf wrote:Miami should look good to you now.

Whoa, it's like my doppleganger, similar numbers, (probably) same school, similar 'tar. Hope I get into NYU also.camelcrema wrote:champsound wrote:It gets cold sometimes in Berkeley too. Like almost upper 40s!!!

Sometimes it even rains (and no one goes to class.)
Champ, love the 'tar.
Maybe they will call you by the end of the business day!cardinals1989 wrote:Just went complete. Man, this is going a lot faster than in the fall...which makes me quite happy.
