Your GPA didn't exactly inspire hope in me, but the post still warrants a sincere "Congratulations!"lalady wrote:I've been hesitating to post on this thread but hopefully my stats will make everyone a little more confident about their chances and show that the admissions process/timing is unpredictable. Submitted 11/21, UR 11/22, admitted 11/30 via phone w/Dean Tom. Stats: 167/3.99 Non-URM, in state. I wrote a customized personal statement for Berkeley. Totally shocked and thrilled to be in at my top choice, wish you all the best of luck. I'm a Bay Area native so if anyone has questions about location/where to live I'd be happy to answer them.

Re: Berkeley 2011 applicants
Congratulations to all those accepted! I am so happy for you.
I am sympathizing and suffering along with everyone still waiting to hear. So hoping for Berkeley.
Went to the dentist today with what I thought was a terrible toothache and she told me it is an acute jaw sprain from stress. I think when I can eat again it might be funny.
Here's to hoping we all get some good news soon.

that was blazing fast. I have been UR since 11/10 and have worn out the status checker at this point...even my Droid X is sick of me

Undoubtedly true. To be fair, the stress is not only about admissions ....also about getting my (non-American) family back to the US.yoitsmebenny wrote:wow you need to chill out about lifemlievano wrote:Congratulations to all those accepted! I am so happy for you.

Hmm I was just checking the status and noticed that all my mailings are gone?
Is it just me? I thought I had two mailings listed there last time I checked?

Mine has always been blank. Maybe it was another school you remember? Most other schools have both received and complete emails listed.ringdabell wrote:Hmm I was just checking the status and noticed that all my mailings are gone?

I didn't get in until late February and applied before Thanksgiving. Some people will wait.

Same here. My jaw has been clenched for weeks, and my teeth now don't meet properly. Good luck!mlievano wrote:Congratulations to all those accepted! I am so happy for you.

Any rejections yet? I am below the median and haven't been rejected yet. I've been Under Review since early October. I'm just worried that they may have lost my app or something. I'm 99% out but some answer would help give me closure.

It has been talked about in other threads that it is too early for rejections from the T14 schools.HopefulFish wrote:Any rejections yet? I am below the median and haven't been rejected yet. I think I was in the second faculty review batch and they told me in early Jan that they'd have an answer by early March.lakerfanimal wrote:Hmm, thanks for the hope man! DId you go to faculty review? Weird question, but did everyone's SSN show up blank on the PDF of their app? Just want to make sure it wasn't only me!

Yes, it's hidden on the preview. They get it in their version.FutureInLaw wrote:Weird question, but did everyone's SSN show up blank on the PDF of their app? Just want to make sure it wasn't only me!

Submitted 11/29
Under review 12/2
non-trad/URM with a 3.4/161 that i am praying will be overlooked on account of my excellent LORs, PS, DS, and solid work experience... i've mentally prepared myself for a rejection, but there's a small part of me that is still hopeful!

I was accepted on 11/22. My status checker now lists "acceptance letter mailed 12/03" under my mailings list! So excited!
