Can I ask those of you that got in of the WL when you applied and if you had anything special going on in your resume? I applied back in September with a 158/3.65 and didn't hear anything today. Just trying to piece this together since I'd likely accept a seat on the spot

Not really. Kentucky just seems extremely boring. It's all a matter of personal preferences. Though I doubt Kentucky does any better on the culture score.Cupcakes wrote:I visited and I really love it. Do you know something I don't? I also hate the people in Florida..there is no culture here.Bill Cosby wrote:Are you sure you want to live in Kentucky?Cupcakes wrote:Also in off the waitlist! Not as pumped as the rest of you though because I had my heart set on Kentucky, now I feel pressured to go to FSU for in state tuition ($14, 000 saving per year). But I went to FSU for undergrad- was really hoping to not have to go back to Tally again. Big decision to be made..thoughts? Good luck to the rest of you- I know how much this waiting game sucks!

In off the WL. Have been set on Villanova, but now I'm torn.

Bless, maybe you were just set on Villanova because that's where you got in, and they offered you a nice scholarship, so you were feeling good because of that. If you like Tallahassee, and think you would like to stay in Florida, you should go to FSU, though!Bill Cosby wrote:You really want Philly over Florida?Bless wrote:In off the WL. So based on this thread, I'm guessing that "Decision made and will arrive by mail" with no phone call means no acceptance. Am I correct?

Based upon the way things have worked in the past...if your status says "decision made arriving by mail" than you are probably not going to get in for this fall
Are you sure that they have the correct phone number and all that jazz? Cause until you actually get the letter there is a possibility that you could have missed a call somewhere...

In Tallahassee, today the high is around 100 degrees and the heat index is supposed to be 110. It's like we are in a permanent heat wave.

Dear God.....Please tell me that it's not uncommon to be permanently drenched in sweat. How long will it take to get into the mid 80s?minuit wrote:In Tallahassee, today the high is around 100 degrees and the heat index is supposed to be 110. It's like we are in a permanent heat wave.

haha it is not uncommon. you can start sweating just standing outside, as it's a very humid heat. but i dunno when it will be in the 80s again consistently - end of september perhaps? it's not "supposed" to be this hot at this point in the year yet, but it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.EricBerry wrote:Dear God.....Please tell me that it's not uncommon to be permanently drenched in sweat. Come Fall, Tally will be in the 70s/80s. The weather in Tallahassee is terrific, but the summertime is MURDER. Tally has hotter summers than South FL.EricBerry wrote:Dear God.....Please tell me that it's not uncommon to be permanently drenched in sweat.
