Unfortunately not, but I do want to live in Florida after law school so I know I really need to go to school there. It just sucks because Cincinnati would be about $60,000 cheaper for me and I don't know if I can turn that down.

Plus, it just sucks they aren't giving me anything when I've seen people with similar numbers get a lot of money.

You're right, your LSAT should have gotten you some money. That sucks! But you can get in-state your 2nd and 3rd years, if that helps.

Pearl, maybe ask for a deadline extension? I now have until April 15th to choose. They seemed cool about it.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm thinking I'll probably go there because I like it so much even without money. It just sucks. My family definitely doesn't understand me turning down money at Cincinnati to go full price at FSU so I'm going to wait until after the April 15 open house there to be sure, but yeah that's what I'm thinking.

FWIW I have basically the same stats as you and got 10k. I was able to negotiate an extra 2k with my 20k/yr Wake Forest scholly. So, I think you might have a chance to get a decent scholly out of them. I withdrew from FSU today so my money is out there

Unfortunately I've been in contact with them off and on since Academic Scholars Day and today I asked if there was any chance of increasing my scholarship(I've only been given a one time $2000 scholarship) since I'm going to deposit at another school too and she responded: "I’m afraid it appears unlikely that we will be able to increase your offer. I do hope that we are still in consideration. We’d love to have you attend Florida State in the fall."

So I'm taking that as it's a definite no...wouldn't you assume the same?

That's really shocking. Our GPAs are the same and my LSAT score was lower, and I was offered a significant amount more (contrary to what my username and avatar may lead one to believe, I am not URM).

Pretty sure it's the 1st if you admitted before a certain date and the 15th if you were accepted after.

I have been "complete" since 1/3 and went "under review" today as well. Hmm, wonder what this means for us.

I went under review on a Monday and received my decision on the Friday of that same week. I'm assuming that if you change to under review then you are in the batch they are going through this week. I'd bet money that you will get a decision this week.
