.. does anyone know about living? I wanted to live in Lawrenceville because it seems to be less suburban than Shadyside (also cheaper). Also, does anyone know of a good place to look for law school roommates? I have friends in pgh, but living with them would probably be a bad idea if I want to do well in school. Any info. would be great.

There was some pretty extensive discussion about places to live a few pages back

I have a feeling that this is going to be a no decisions week for the most part. I think next week we will get a bunch of decisions. If I'm accepted, I'd like to attend the Accepted Students Day, but I will take any acceptance....this wait is excruciating.

How do deposits work for people who hear so late in the game?

Any particular reason you think that will be the case? And it is excruciating.

Patterns. One week on, one week off. Or maybe one week on, two or more weeks off. Plus it looks that way on LSN for last year's applicants.

I mean, they did accept some people during this time in March, but it seemed to peak the week afterwards.

Well it seemed like they were putting out decisions every week for a while, up through mid Feb. And last week they only gave out WLs and dings. I was hoping the positive new would come this week.

And I may be wrong about this, but only five pitt applicants posted their decision dates on LSN last year.

No, I am wrong - on, second glance at the LSN thing they did admit quite a few this week last year. However, I do think it will start to pick up next week and after and they will start slamming them out at that point. Sorry for the ten posts in response to the same question.

No worries, but I am getting anxious as hell. But I guess its good news I didn't get a ding last week. My spring break is next week and I would really love to get the news by then so Im not thinking about status checkers on the beach.

I think you're incorrect about the decision dates thing on LSN. I can see a lot of them - over 15 for this month last year.

As for the recent decisions, I think they had a batch of applications and accepted a bunch of people with that batch at first and then finished with rejections and WLs, which continued into last week. I am hoping they are starting a fresh batch which will at first be acceptances and then regretfully, rejections and WLs in the end. Hopefully we aren't in the second part of that.

Yeah, I figured out what I did. Only looked at the first page and had the decisions descending.

You made me chuckle a bit. Yeah, I'm lazy and go straight to date too. Click twice.

I told myself I wouldn't look at LSN for Pitt because it's my #1 and I will hate to be rejected if it happens. So far the application is complete, but after looking at LSN....

All of the people with numbers like mine (160/3.24 - which I say is more than competitive) who have been accepted are URMs and non-trads. Grrrrreaaaaat. I am the whitest person you will ever meet. Should I mentally prepare for the ding, especially after having to take the February LSAT?

I really want to be in Pittsburgh, and I really don't want to go to Duquesne...

Well, since people who have 159s get in who are not URMS and not non-traditional, why would you get rejected just because you're not?

If you are accepted before april1st- you have until april 15th to send in the deposit.
IF you are acceppted after that- I think you get 2 weeks to send in the deposit money.
