Received scholarship info today in the mail. $7K per year. Alot less than anticipated. Wake Forest offered $15K per year. 161/3.78 GPA, degree in economics.

Re: Tennessee 2011
I was in at Tennessee in mid-September and there hasn't been much contact since (until the scholarship offer). I really like Wake, especially with $, so I'm not going to worry about it.Stonewall wrote:I'm oos also, got 22 from wake and haven't heard about a dime from Tennessee -- I thought they would atleast try to persuade me.. Did it come in an orange file? I got that with just nonsense-- no scholarship offer! 163/3.3 kind of tired of holding out. Won't consider them without significant $$ so I suppose I should maybe withdraw.jrervin1 wrote:Received scholarship info today in the mail. $7K per year. Alot less than anticipated. Looking on LSN, a lot of people haven't heard anything yet. Also, it looks like people that went UR around the same time as us last year got decisions mid February. Looking at the #s of admitted students on LSN this year and last year I think you have a pretty decent shot. Tennessee is about my #3 or #4 choice, would be higher if I was in state, so I'm mildly apathetic about the decision. Good Luck!EricBerry wrote:In-state non-URM 160/3.0. Under review since 12/3. Re: Tennessee 2011
Yeah, I keep forgetting that its only been 2 months since I submitted applications. I was getting a steady flow of decisions since mid-December and now I'm playing the waiting game with my last few schools (3 of which are top choices). If I do get waitlisted, I'll be flooding UTenn's mailbox with LOCIs and LORs, that's for sure. If I end up at Kentucky or Ole Miss, that'll be an extra $30-40k in debt and job prospects outside of Tennessee. Getting accepted would be HUGE.richis7 wrote:Looking on LSN, a lot of people haven't heard anything yet. Submitted 1/31, went under review 2/2, 3.35/160 out of state non-URM. Do you think there's any way I hear back within the next couple weeks? Or will it probably be around March?

Re: Tennessee 2011
Was reading back through this last page of posts and it looks like the orange folder/scholarship question was not answered. I did receive a scholarship offer, but it was mailed separately, not with the orange folder packet.

Re: Tennessee 2011
Hard to say. Those are good numbers for TN as a URM, so that might sort of slingshot you to the front of the line. I am oos with similar numbers but non URM. I've been waiting since mid december. TN has been fairly quiet here lately, so it is hard to determine exactly what they are doing.wamaxey wrote:Submitted 1/31, went under review 2/2, 3.35/160 out of state non-URM.
