Yeah, I couldn't believe no one else pointed that out. Can get onto mail, holidays, and whether ups delivers on vets day, but no one mentioned that date hahaha

Well, I was in this thread for last year, and here I am again. Submitted 11/1 (ugh at myself for putting it off for three weeks!), hoping for greatness. Mich is tied for my #1 with NYU.

How long have y'all had to wait to receive status check info? A few days, weeks? I keep looking at this and freaking myself out, thinking I applied too late. Good luck to everyone!

Did anyone get an email from a member of an affinity group before getting in?

I got a (definitely personalized) email from a girl in one of the groups on 11/8 -- the same day I went complete according to status checker. According to the FAQs on Mich's website, Admissions releases names of admitted applicants to affinity groups... but in my case that seems awfully quick, since I'm not an auto-admit by any means and don't want to get my hopes up! IDK if they give the names of just regular old applicants too in addition to the admitted ones? Weird!

Anyone have experience with this/insight?

Ditto. I got this e-mail last year from someone from Michigan (when I didn't apply) and another person this year (after I applied). I wouldn't look anything into it.
