Because the official deadline to apply ED isn't until this Friday or so, it would seem premature to hand out ED decisions before having received all ED applications . But heck, this is my guess, and it can be way off.nyk3 wrote:
Why would EDers take longer?

Re: Michigan 2011
Congrats to those who've been accepted.
Based on the submission, complete date, I've submitted earlier than some of the accepted people with review pending at 10/26. I'm hoping this is not a bad sign and the accepted people heard the good news simply because they are better candidates (numbers, GPA, extracurricular, in-state, etc.), but regardless, I'm good enought pass over the admissions hurdle.
Congrats once again.

I've been stalking LSN, and even when people are within the same completion round (they release those e-mails in batches I think), there's still a lot of variation in terms of when people hear back. People will hear back in the next few weeks, as well as throughout December. I'd say people can only start truly freaking out in January if they submitted early.pulandasu wrote:Congrats to those who've been accepted.

Not that I listen to my own advice. I've been refreshing my status checker a tonnn.

Yes, definitely need that - I need a lot of luck, patience, and support in this cycle since I'm a re-applicant.dulcatis wrote: Me too. Yay TLS support group! <3

My app just went complete for ED! I'm pretty weak on the numbers side (3.22/172), so here's hoping for some luck.

Re: Michigan 2011
If anyone wants to feel more or less anxious about this stuff, I have a Michigan version of the NYU spreadsheet thing I've sent some people. Basically, for people who submitted in October of last year, it has their sent date and their decision date as reported on LSN. So it can show you some trends and whatnot (i.e. that rejections didn't start until January, WLs until February, and only a few people who submitted in October heard back with an acceptance in January).
PM me if you want it!
ETA: I just put all the ones I made into a thread here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 2&t=137012

Congrats! Although it's odd that they email people though. Last year, abroad people still found out via the status checker and admitted student site.jd2014! wrote:IN at Michigan via e-mail (abroad)!!!
If your numbers are true, you are in, dulcatis. Don't stress out.dulcatis wrote:I have officially memorized my Michigan ID number for the status check. I need an intervention

Yeah, I emailed them asking for a hint as to what was going on. I am in a rural area in a developing country, and was unlikely to hear for a while.

Yeah... good luck to everyone. It says on the admitted students site that acceptance packages were sent on the 7th, so probably tomorrow people should start getting big fat packages in their mailbox.
