Yes.
Wow...that would be crazy. I'm able to login but I didn't think I had a chance at michigan.
Congrats, you're in! (I didn't believe it for the longest time either. Until the acceptance package turned up.)
Thanks! Wow I'm shocked, law school predictor had me at a 39%. Sucks though I won't be back to school to see the letter for 2 weeks.

Michigan update dates have been going crazy. Went from 12/31 to 1/3 and now to 1/4. This been happening to other people?

Here's to hoping it means a speedy decision, and a positive one at that.

Really wish people would actually do a search or read back 3-4 pages to see if they could answer their own question instead of asking something that's already been asked 200 times. The status updates automatically. The date changes mean nothing.

To those who received Dean's Scholarships: has your Financial Aid Information updated in Mail and Money? Mine updated but is only showing the per year amount rather than the full award. Is that the same for everyone?

Well even considering the search function on here kind of sucks and I did go back and try to find an answer to this I still apologize to revisiting already settled territory. Sorry to clutter your computer screen.

Some have, but I think they do it in a few waves.

Good luck to others!!!
Probably a dumb question, but I am at home and I believe they sent my offer to school... I logged into my UMich page and it says Dean's offer $22,500 (SO EXCITED btw); does your online account say $18K for 2012 and then your letter add that up x3 to get $54K? Or do both say $54K? I'm just not sure if mine is $22,500 total or yearly...

Congrats again!!! :D

Question: I know Michigan doesn't have a scholarship matching policy. However, Dean Z has said in interviews it can't hurt to send info about other offers, and the website states "the Financial Aid Office is occasionally able to take financial aid offers from competing schools into account."

I was offered half tuition at UVA which is worth somewhat significantly more than my offer at Michigan ($54,000). If it matters, my numbers seemed to be the upper bracket of that offer-- one more LSAT point seems to mean $67,500.

Anyway, is it worth sending them something? And if so, when is the appropriate time to do it?

Mich has a TfA scholarship...might you get that in addition to the dean's?

Please report back if you are able to negotiate successfully, though. Good luck!

I somehow knew someone would bring this up lol. Another quote, from her blog:

"It is our policy, stated in the scholarship award letters, not to alter scholarship awards once they have been made, but the receptionist quite correctly advised him to email the office with the information about the other awards. However unlikely it may be that we’ll alter our stated policy, she knows that we always want to be able to consider individual circumstances... I reiterated the advice: please do send us the information requested."

My thought: highly unlikely, they were probably humoring him, but probably can't hurt?

I'm not sure. On TfA's site it says to contact law.jd.admissions@umich.edu for more information on it. It would be an additional 30k over 3 years, if it stacks.

From LSN it looks like more early-mid-November submissions are starting to consistently get decisions. Here's to hoping for a positive result for a 11/08 submitter soon :D
