Just got my acceptance letter in the mail! Dated and postmarked 11/09 for those of you who accessed the admitted students site yesterday like me (I'm in MN, so those further west may get theirs later? Don't know the speed of USPS from Mich to West Coast). YAY!

Have they WL/rejected anyone yet??
I'd almost rather it didn't say decision. I can't think about anything else. Still can't access Admitted Students. I think I'm not going to check anymore because I don't want them to think I am a PSYCHO

I applied to Mich 11/2 and just now got the email that they received my application. I expected a status checker, but the email said that'd take 3-4 weeks. I guess that's what I get for applying that late.

I am going nuts waiting for this. Updated to 11/12. I felt like I would hear sooner. I am not an auto-admit with a 3.49/173 but with my why michigan and 1st day application I thought I'd hear by now.

I wish I had my status checker...submitted 10/31, got the confirmation of receipt on 11/4. I know some other people who submitted around that time got theirs. Maybe I just missed the status checker wave. I can't wait to get it and obsessively check with all of you! Congrats to everyone who already got in!

My cycle might prove there is no such thing as "auto-admit" numbers. again, I'm at or above both of Mich 75% and I made it clear it was my top choice. The result: I'm in the "still complete on 11/12" crowd, and I applied 9/29.

They've only sent out a few dozen out of hundreds of acceptances. It's far too early to start worrying about not getting in.dooterdude11 wrote:My cycle might prove there is no such thing as "auto-admit" numbers. again, I'm at or above both of Mich 75% and I made it clear it was my top choice. Where is this notion that they check how many times you try to access it coming from??dorriedoodle wrote:Have they WL/rejected anyone yet??

Someone said that several pages back, a few days ago. Apparently that's what Dean Z said after last year... or something. I guess a lot of individuals were abusing the admitted students site... hah.

Does anybody know if scholarship offers will be in the mailed package? Do they make those decisions later?

Re: Michigan 2011
Looked back in this thread and found first mention of it around p. 11-12 but no primary source. I don't think that's really the case that they check--I've been reading the A2Z blog for close to a year and don't remember this popping up or seeing it in last year's Michigan thread. My memory is certainly fallible, but it seems like their checking how often we check would be somewhat time-consuming/time-wasting with the 8,000 apps, even if the process was automated. I can't really imagine Dean Z saying, "Hmmm...DreamShake...you sound great! Admi--wait, what's this? 28 log-in attempts? No, no, no sir! Rejected!"artichoke wrote:DreamShake wrote:Where is this notion that they check how many times you try to access it coming from??dorriedoodle wrote:Have they WL/rejected anyone yet??

There was quite a bit of discussion about it in Michigan's "Discuss Your School" thread last year, a search will probably yield results fairly easily.artichoke wrote:Does anyone know anything about the Lawyer's Club?

No mention of $ in my acceptance package, however the Michigan financial aid website says offers are typically mailed 2 weeks after acceptance offers are made.

Michigan's view book was by far the most impressive that I received, speaking of which.forward21 wrote:I still haven't gotten status checker.

Re: Michigan 2011
They include a brochure/application in the acceptance letter package, but here's the run-down on the basics:artichoke wrote:Does anyone know anything about the Lawyer's Club?
The rooms are rented furnished, co-ed building, no rooms have private bathrooms, it's all smoke free, lease covers utilities, ethernet and meal service; and they are not rented during the summer (no air conditioning).
Vegan and Kosher diets are not accomodated via the Club's services.
Fees for 2010/11 (9 months):
(per occupant)
Single (one private room for one) $10,800
Double suite: (two private bedrooms and one shared study for two: $10,800
Economy single: ( one very small private room for one): 9,800
Single suite: (two small rooms [bedroom & study] for one: 11,800
Hope this helps.

Thanks! My packet went to my dads house, and he lives on the other side of the country so I won't get it for a while.vegenator wrote:They include a brochure/application in the acceptance letter package, but here's the run-down on the basics:artichoke wrote:Does anyone know anything about the Lawyer's Club?
