+1 I'm actually glad though I don't think I could have turned my hometown school down if I had got accepted even though I don't want to go there. Now I'm free to go to a school I really want to go to. Bye Chicago thread.

For those who got calls, who called you? I thought it was Perry, but I was just looking at her bio and it's not consistent with what we talked about. I was way too taken aback when she said who she was to hear, though. Any idea?

dean perry called me. for sure. i was just too stupid to say anything of value. i bet she regretted her decision after our phone call lol

All the admissions directors make phone calls, some people get Dean Perry, some people get other admissions officers.

Various people in the admissions department make phone calls to admits so it could have been someone else in the office.

Congrats to all the admits, UChicago is a great place to be!

The person who called me had a male voice, so it definitely was not her. And I did not really have any conversation. He just said that he is sending me an email with admitted student site login info and that's all. What did you talk about?
