So, do we think it'll be Wednesday or before then? I'd be surprised if we were notified on Monday. The wording is slightly ambiguous: does he intend to say that he'll be doing both the deciding and notifying early in the week or just the deciding (leaving the notifying to later in the week)? Hm..... I think I need to take a step away from this thread.... this entire process. It's making me very neurotic.

Chicago has sent out decisions in batches, historically. So I don't think he would be deciding and notifying at the same time. I'm thinking mid-late next week.

Thank goodness it'll be soon! I just want it to be over with regardless of the decision...I expected to wait this long to hear from Stanford and Yale, but never thought Chicago would be this slow!

When you go under review, what exactly does that mean:

1) Does that mean that the admissions committee just started to look into a pile of applications that contains yours?
2) Or does it mean they just picked your application out of the stack and started to look at it the day you went under review?

Anyone know?

Something odd happened to me.

Applied 2/1
Complete 2/11
UR1 3/20
UR2 3/21

Did I really get to UR2 in 1 day or is this some kind of administrative error and correction? 3/20 was Sunday and I vividly remember it going to UR1 that day, so it really did happen.

@Julia: Also stuck at 2/11. Exactly one day too late to make the February wave of admits. Since you've had such an amazing cycle, though, I interpret being stuck on the same day as you as a really good sign!

i wish...i'm at 2/6 (the sunday right BEFORE the last wave of admits) and nothin since.

since tomorrow will start to be 'later in the week', does anyone think there's a chance for decisions?

I think they may be behind. Don't people need 3 UR dates to get a decision? I've been at my 2nd UR date of 3/06 and it looks to me like people are only recently getting 2nd UR dates.

Should I take it as a bad sign that my UR dates are very close together? My two were only about a week apart. Seems like most people on here have weeks and even months from one UR to the next.

I don't think everyone in the earlier admit batches had 3 UR dates, but also at this point, they just want to get them done so I think that 2 should be enough.
