Re: UChicago 2011
They should make a rule where you can cash in like five T-14 waitlists for an acceptance to a school ranked two spots higher than your best acceptance. All in favor of said rule say "I"... my hunch is that the "I"s will have it.

What are the chances of getting off the waitlist? I'm guessing not so great...?

Re: UChicago 2011
For those who are interested, the waitlist email solicits a specific essay:
I think that I'll be withdrawing. Congrats to everyone who made it! I'll see some of you at the Berkeley and NYU ASW's.You may take advantage of the following opportunities:
(1) You may submit an additional essay to the Admissions Committee discussing the reasons why you are interested in studying law at Chicago and how our curriculum will help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Please limit your essay to two pages and submit your essay to admissions@law.uchicago.edu.
(2) If applicable, you may provide an updated transcript through the Law School Admission Council.
The deadline for submitting an additional essay is March 15, 2011.

Or reject e-mails... like I am totally ok if they say... hey buddy, we think you are a nice guy and all, but you kind of sort of suck at life. That is fine. I just want to have an answer so that I can go on with my life. Hate waiting for these law schools. Another suggestion... why don't they have all law schools give out acceptances on the same three days of the year every year. That way you are not completely incapacitated for 6 months... only one or two weeks of the year. All in favor say "I"

Sorry for messing up the email wait here, but I just noticed this at: http://www.law.uchicago.edu/application-calendar
So perhaps the Rubenstein doesn't make an appearance quite so early in the game?February - March
Scholarship decisions and student loan information emailed to applicants. Some named scholarships may not be announced until after admitted applicants have submitted their deposit and commitment to enroll at the University of Chicago Law School.

I. Some of these schools taking four weeks to even give out a status checker (cough michigan cough cough) is ridiculous. I think LSAC should regulate a little more of the law school decision process.SirWilliam1022 wrote:Or reject e-mails... like I am totally ok if they say... hey buddy, we think you are a nice guy and all, but you kind of sort of suck at life.
