UChicago and UPenn, in particular, I think tend to somewhat favor prestigious UGs, so that doesn't help. That said, given LSN and the fact that you're ED, you are probably somwhere around 45-50%. Anecdotally, I have two friends who applied last cycle with similar numbers 3.9X/168-9. The one who applied ED got in and the one who applied RD got WL.

So I'll have all of my fall grades in my schools system by the 14th but won't be able to get a transcript to LSAC until a couple of days after that and then I assume it will take a few days for them to update the schools I've applied to.

Would it be a bad idea to send a screenshot of my fall grades (5 classes, 4.0GPA in each and I'm a splitter) to Chicago admissions (so I know that they'll get it before the 18th-ish when they are expected to roll out ED decisions? I guess I should also note that the increase won't put me above their 25th still but it will be from a 3.4x to a 3.5x and that it would be my 5th straight semester of straight (or close to it) A's
