Congratulations on the Rubensteins!
Wow Fresh, you really won the cycle lottery
Did everybody who got a Rubenstein do the phone interview first?

Crazy the % of rubenstein recipients that are TLSers.
Maybe now that the Rubes are out the rest of us will be hearing about aid packages pretty soon?

Yeah... it was pretty out of the blue. I got the sense that they did it for everyone they recommended to the committee.bistduverrueckt wrote:Congratulations on the Rubensteins!

Mine was out of the blue as well. Dean Perry offered to call back, but I braved it and spoke with her on the spot. I thought I goofed it, so I sent a thoughtful follow-up email.CapHillLove wrote:Yeah... it was pretty out of the blue. Shit. Rubenstein. Why do they have to make an already difficult decision so much harder?

Haha so true. My JR1 was literally recited from memory.oxford_don wrote:Same here. Went for it on the first call to show how "articulate" I am. A follow-up email was required. Much different than the JR1 where I rehearsed answers in the shower.Fresh wrote:Mine was out of the blue as well. Dean Perry offered to call back, but I braved it and spoke with her on the spot. I actually only agreed to do it on the spot because by "I have a few questions about your application" I thought she meant "Is the current address I have listed correct?" and not "So.... Why Chicago?"
It was so embarrassing. I was cringing afterward, but apparently it wasn't that bad.

Alright, so I guess I'm deciding between Harvard, Yale, Hamilton at Columbia, and Rubenstein at Chicago. Might need to make a thread for this...

I wish these scholarships that will obviously be passed up could go to other people when those initially offered finally withdraw. It's such a bummer that just nobody gets them.arism87 wrote:Srsly, HOW RUDE!pezd wrote:Shit. Rubenstein. Why do they have to make an already difficult decision so much harder?

aw, just let'em gloat for a little while, lol. if you're competitive enough, you'll get a scholly of some sort anyway. important thing to focus on is doing well in law school. after law school its your rank and school that matter.sarahlawg wrote:I wish these scholarships that will obviously be passed up could go to other people when those initially offered finally withdraw.
