I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see
Wanna see 'em dancin'
Walkin' around on those
(Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - feet
Flippin' your fins you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'
Strollin' along down a
(What's that word again?) street

Up where they walk
Up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun

You are admitted to UCLA for three days. If you can't get a law student to fall in love with you before the sun sets on the third day, you are dismissed and must attend the University of Minnesota.

Man, I would watch that movie. And so would about 30,000 other people.

Unbelievable. I am truly sorry to hear that.

Is it a hopeless position to have heard nothing back yet--save, of course, for the completed file notification?

Depends. Some people get a response in as little as 10 days. Others have been waiting since Oct.

Some peope got in after being complete for 2 or 3 months (not sure about longer than that)

Not entirely sure .. check out LSN for that?
They accept a fair # of people with high #s I think, but they also WL a whole bunch too.
I guess since people with T-10 #s who want LA/CA sometimes go for UCLA with $$, they can't afford to let more of the higher #s people in...?

/speculation

I kind of got the impression it was pretty bad. Seeing your profile makes me understand why you may be concerned about this. If I were you and I had my heart set on UCLA, I'd write a Why UCLA and send it in.

I had numbers slightly higher than UCLA's medians (but nowhere as good as yours) and got in exactly 2 weeks from the day of my submission, with $$$. No Why UCLA, though. I suspect I wasn't good enough for YP, but perhaps good enough for a scholly.

Instead of a why UCLA essay, can I send them a printout of the weather from here for the past 3 months? Ill even include pictures of me shoveling out my car out every morning.

Emailed the dean. I was admitted two days ago, but had all my financial aid information in before last week. He told me within 5 minutes of me emailing him.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
