Sorry man, thats just cruel Your numbers are really strong for UCLA, plus you went there for undergrad. You might be able to get off the waitlist though, if youre still interested.

No longer interested. They would have had to buy me to get me to go considering other offers, and I'd rather go somewhere that wants me.

This also baffles me, too. You have a bunch of other awesome acceptances though. No worries!!

If you want to annoy them yes. I had been held longer than you by about 2 months.

I'm new to the party, so forgive my ignorance. I sent my application in around 12/20. I haven't heard back at all from UCLA since. No email, no status checker, nothing. Is this normal? My LSAC account says it's complete....

No status checker for UCLA, just an email saying they have it and that it is complete.

It's been just under 2 months, haven't received that email. How long after submitting are most people getting that?

I don't think there are any universities in the west that can match UCLA's beautiful campus.

I think LA's campus is one of the better ones, but have you visited Berkeley or Stanford?

I haven't seen UCLA or Berkeley, but I've seen Stanford, and that's going to be hard to beat... the campus is gorgeous!!

FWIW, I've noticed all the people I've known to apply to UCLA law after having been undergrad there, never get in.

True, they don't like their own students ( as opposed to UT ). However, I'm meeting with them next week to see what's on the up and up and maybe convince them to take me. I would settle for a pity acceptance haha

I asked them about this yesterday- they DO primarily feed to the west coast, though they want people to move back to the east. They, unsurprisingly, would not give me a committal answer about whether you can expect to be able to find a job in NYC.

FWIW, I've noticed all the people I've known to apply to UCLA law after having been undergrad there, never get in.

I went to UCLA undergrad, submitted late December and got in early in January. So who knows? But I wrote a pretty convincing essay about their Law & Philosophy program, and being a philosophy major at UCLA and taking classes with some of the Philo Law professors probably helped.

Roommate is a 1L there after UCLA undergrad. FWIW, UCLA is the most heavily represented institution at UCLA law, with Berkeley second and USC third I think.

Also, University of Washington trumps UCLA. There's an argument to be made that USD is nicer as well. But all are amazing.
