no need to be sensitive. we could all use a vicoden and a shot of Patron right about now.
Screw vic and perc, the only thing that works on me anymore is morphine. That is sad ... (and I am serious  ) (before people freak out and call me something I am not ... I got injured very frequently)

Anyhow, when are they calling again?

Anybody else apply ED with 170+?
Normally UCLA isn't very splitter friendly. Hopefully ED will help.

I am interested in Law and Philosophy, would like to stay in southern california, and I was waitlisted regular decision last year. I hope to get in early and finally be done with the stress of law school admissions.

I went complete on 11/2 and just got a call from Dean Schwartz saying I'm in (11/4). That was super quick, though he didnt mention anything about $$, but excited nonetheless. It's one of my top choices outside of CCNMVP

This pains me. I went complete way back on 10/11. UCLA, why don't you love me?

Edit: CONGRATULATIONS!!!

No. Just sent in the PS, Addenda (LSAT and Disciplinary action in college), and resume. Tried to fit why UCLA in the PS, but the 2 page limit was brutal.

EDIT: Though my PS makes it clear that being in LA would be a real benefit to me (I started a company here that I eventually want to return to after law school)

Thanks Cig. I'm sure you'll be hearing soon, based on your LSAT and Superior? numbers. (if I remember them correctly from previous threads)

Man, when is UCLA gonna start calling again? I've got 11 apps out there floating around in the sea of uncertainty; this flippin' stinks ... tired of waiting! On the plus side Vandy and Northwestern both waived my app fee this week; gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by that :)

It would be really nice to know I am in at at least one school. And to give my parents, who ask me incessantly if I have heard back yet, some news.

UCLA has an excellent philosophy department and quite a bit of overlap and cooperation between the philosophy department and the law school.

According to Brian Leiter: "Those top law schools in the United States offering the most for students with philosophical interests are (in alphabetical order): Berkeley, Chicago, Columbia, NYU, Penn, Southern California, Texas, Virginia, UCLA, and Yale; Chicago, NYU, Penn, Southern California, UCLA and Yale dominate, though Columbia still enjoys the half-time presence of the preeminent figure in the field, Joseph Raz."
