Congratulations to those who have been accepted recently.

I am beginning to worry that I did something to screw up my application.

Feeling the same way. Complete since 10/13 with numbers above 75th, starting to wonder if I did something really terrible.

I'm the same but 10/11. I didn't kill Dean Schwartz's puppy or something did I?

Look like a bunch of us with >75's are hanging from early Oct. I even wrote the extra essay. Are there other decisions handed out to > both 75's? I wonder if they are holding us to see how the rest of the pool looks. We are seriously not in their target admit range, they are probably careful about yield.

I hope there are other considerations going into decisions for those folks( namely, how much money?). I'm right around both 75s complete as of early october, did extra essays, and still no call.

Edited for clarity.

I also wonder if ED's at schools are affecting early RD chances. It seems like the advice given to borderline candidates are all "retake" or "ED". So I wonder if there is an uptrend of number of ED applications - which would make school hesitate handing out RD acceptances in fear of over enrolling. This may make for a long fall. It's only coincidental but the only school I heard from has no binding ED. So I expect Cornell next ;)

ETA: most schools with binding ED don't release large waves of RD decisions until well after ED deadline, must be some truth to my interpretation.

Gaah I want to get my app out to UCLA ASAP. But then I'll just have 2 months of crickets.

This is way too nervewracking.

I'm giving myself a personal deadline of 10 days to get my first app out. Doubt it will be UCLA though since I don't want any rookie mistakes to be on my #1 choice's app.

(Just ranting/venting/freaking out).

Well UT either didn't catch or didn't care about misplaced word in my PS. I am glad that I only sent that version to safeties. Don't feel bad, many of us do it.

Until some of us who wrote the essay get admitted, it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I did something much worse... I sent out my resume proudly declaring at the top I had my bachelor of arts. Un-frickin-believable. I have a bachelor of science. Now THAT is what I call a horrifying mistake.

I doubt they will notice. They probably look at your transcript for your degree/gpa info

Since they barely care about your major, I doubt they would care what kind of degree you got. Unless you mistakenly put PhD instead of BS.

Hahaha, well, all of your comments make me feel a little better, but regardless, that was a really stupid mistake to make.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
