You got H and S. You're not allowed to complain about waiting for a guaranteed UCLA acceptance + full ride .eskimogirl wrote:same! (well, 11/8) it's been a very frustrating wait too.glitter178 wrote:I went complete 11/10.

UCLA remember that time I wanted to get into a school in every region of the country or at least hear back from them so I could make a choice about where I wanted to attend law school? Remember when you sent me a fee waiver and I applied on November 4th? Remember when my friend who applied 3 weeks later already got a call? Remember when you still didn't give me any word? Of course you don't remember...

Guess you'll just have to settle for Chicago/NYU. I'd take full ride at UCLA over Chicago/NYU sticker, FWIW.beachbum wrote: Guess you'll just have to settle for Chicago/NYU. Bummer.

Re: UCLA? 2011
I would take a full UCLA ride over Chicago possibly if not likely. NYU is a harder call because of where it's located. But I just wanted to have the choice. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything like that.beachbum wrote:Guess you'll just have to settle for Chicago/NYU. So would I. And I'm not just saying that because it's snowing with a windchill of 5 degrees outside. Though I think I just saw a penguin.r6_philly wrote:I'd take full ride at UCLA over Chicago/NYU sticker, FWIW.beachbum wrote: Guess you'll just have to settle for Chicago/NYU. Bummer.

Michigan >>> UCLA...to be honest all that matters is rankings. Whenever I see people argue about a scholarship over paying sticker at a T14 I don't think they weigh the future job potential of going to a T14 high enough..artichoke wrote:Go blue!supersar wrote:Thanks! You sound like a fool, especially considering UCLA is 15th and has better class profiles than Cornell...Fate wrote: Michigan >>> UCLA...to be honest all that matters is rankings. Re: UCLA? 2011
Agree regarding UCLA vs Cornell, but Michigan >>> UCLA for sure, despite my loathing of them for my rejection (I honestly think I was the first person they rejected, and I have no idea why.... Oh well.) Michigan probably places better than UCLA even in LA. But you're right to criticize the no-questions-asked use of rankings to determine that 13 is always better than 15, especially given the obvious possibility of OP receiving a scholarship + possible desire to work in LA (unstated, but possible).Arbiter213 wrote:You sound like a fool, especially considering UCLA is 15th and has better class profiles than Cornell...Fate wrote: Michigan >>> UCLA...to be honest all that matters is rankings. How about we change the T14 to a T10, and then T6... I would probably take full ride over anything but HYS sticker because I would love to live in SoCal.Arbiter213 wrote:You sound like a fool, especially considering UCLA is 15th and has better class profiles than Cornell...Fate wrote: Michigan >>> UCLA...to be honest all that matters is rankings. Yah. My criticism is more leveled on the "ranking vs. money" idea. Full freight debt Michigan is not an obvious choice. Definitely Michigan is better than UCLA, but $100k+ in recapitalizing, non-dischargeable debt better?r6_philly wrote:How about we change the T14 to a T10, and then T6... I don't know either school well enough to make that claim. However, if you want NYC, Michigan wins. If you want LA, LA wins. 100k is $1200/month or something, I'd like to think Michigan can get you that anywhere else in the country but LA.Arbiter213 wrote:
